XIAOMI ROBOTIC VACUUM -MOP 2 PRO Pros: 1. Vacuum quality is very good. 2. In earlier model, I believe the mopping quality was not good but this one is amazing. The 10k vibrations per minute is magical. 3. Virtual wall feature is amazing. If we don’t want the robot to enter any area, we can create virtual walls and remove it at any time. 4. Battery life is amazing. Even after I completed mopping 3000 sq feet only 20 % of battery was used. 5. They are claiming to provide on site service, which is great. Also most parts are available on amazon itself. CONS: 1. Before vacuuming you need to clear the area. Remove any big dust particles like paper etc. Remove door mats. It may climb on carpet & clean it but gets tangled in door mats. It climbs on my weighting machine and struggles. 2. The initial mapping is very important. Ensure all doors are open before you begin. Follow it from BEHIND and not from the front. I did that and it thought I was a wall & just returned to charge without completing the mapping. 3. We need to wash the pads every time. Little painful but I hv a short cut. I add a few drops of vim liquid. Scrub it using a silicon scrub(it is soft & will not damage the pad). It becomes clean within seconds. Tips & Tricks: 1. Though they have given instructions not to add anything except water, in the water tank, it is perfectly okay to do so. I add hot water with little vinegar and a few drops of soap. It cleans really well. 2. The mop pads are expensive. So if you already have any pads or any flap mop models, you can use it in this, even though the size may be bigger. Only condition is to use normal mode instead of custom mode. Otherwise due to the additional thickness the robo may struggle a little. 3. Use vacuum only if you actually suspect lot of dirt, otherwise directly mopping is enough. 4. The quality of” vacuum plus mop” at the same time is not very good. So do the vacuum first and then the mopping. 5. Remove hair from the brush after each use ( it collects a lot somehow) FINAL RECOMMEDATION: 1. If you are buying it mainly for vacuuming, then you may select any cheaper model/brand too. Most are very efficient. 2. If you are buying it for good quality mopping, then this is your best option in the market. (I did some detailed research before buying) 3. Seems a little expensive but it is totally worth it. 4. As compared to our house help, this robot is a master piece. You can make it clean even 10 times a day. It will not refuse 😊. It doesn’t miss a spot. UPDATE AFTER 10 months: My water tank failed to sprinkle water. It is fully moulded, so no repair was possible. I had to purchase a new tank (rs.2500). No complaints as it happened due to my mistake. I believe we should STRICTLY USE ONLY WATER in the tank as it has sensors. You may spray other cleaning liquids on the floor, if you want. Service was excellent. They sent a person the very next day. Service charge was Rs.450 even during guarantee period (which is bad). They suggested taking an extended warranty as the sensors & mother are very expensive & bound to fail too. I took that too (rs.1500/-). STILL THE ROBO IS WORKING WELL. Satisfied with the mopping quality.

Have used this vacuum daily -- many areas twice in a day. We have a dog and 6 people living under a roof so it gets messy. This vacuum does the best sweeping I have ever seen. I absolutely love it. Keep the dock in a central place, so it can start and return easily from and to it. Edited 6dec 2023 : it is so difficult to.contact customer service! Impossible to.get authentic spare parts --- bought from reverbo brand, but the brush is much thinner than the original. And it has stopped picking dust. Looking for an after.sales. Ecovacs deebot customer service people are much more prompt and easier to connect to. It does get stuck on cotton durries, charger wires, so make none of those is on the floor. Once it got stuck as it caught hold of my toilet paper and I had to prise it out. Also not able to maneuver carpets --- which is why I have docked off one star. It has scratched off the fiber from.my carpet in one place. Haven't tried the mopping feature, as I have heard bad reviews. So I or the maid do the mopping -- easy to do, as the floor is already super clean once the vacuum is done with it! Not a single pet hair do I get during floor mopping, so intense is the suction power. Am really happy I purchased this! Edited to add : this has destroyed a part of my carpet ... please make sure you roll up carpets before running it. It doesn't know when to give up

I purchased this Xiaomi Robot Vacuum Cleaner on April 13, 2025, mainly for its dual sweep and mop functionality. Initially, it worked well, but after a few months the mop mode stopped working. The device now detects only the dust compartment even when the 2-in-1 dust and water tank is properly inserted, so it refuses to mop at all. When I contacted Xiaomi service, they mentioned that many users are facing the same issue and that the water tank needs to be replaced, costing around ₹1,800 — and surprisingly, it’s not covered under warranty. This is very disappointing because the water tank is an essential part of the robot’s operation, not a replaceable accessory like a brush or filter. If it fails so soon and isn’t covered, it raises concerns about product quality and after-sales support.
