This had an incredibly potent flavor of garlic and onion, perfect for someone with an allium intolerance looking for an allium replacer. Sadly, it irritated my stomach.

My friend is allergic to garlic and onion. This allows me to cook tasty food for her by substitution . Does smell bad dry but used in cooking.

This is a good item to have if you like garlic. It tastes like a stronger version of garlic.

I ordered the spice asafoetida and the first ingredient is wheat flour! The second ingredient is some sort of food safe gum which is far less offensive. Finally, number 3 ingredient is actually asafoetida! I ordered this to make a delicious chutney and now if I make it with this WHEAT FLOUR, I won't be able to give it to my 2 friends who cannot eat gluten. Since this is a food item, Amazon is not letting me return it. I cannot find any way to communicate with anyone at Amazon to express my disappointment and hopefully come to some mutually agreed upon solution.

i used the powder for only a few times and clear my lungs from phlegm! Happy with purchase!

This is one of those ingredients that I only needed for a recipe and couldn't find at the store. It arrived on time and now I use it all the time! The bottle holds quite a bit so I haven't replaced it yet but I'm sure I will when it's gone.

Was looking for a garlic substitute for lamb and steak since my mom no longer eats any garlic (maybe she's a vampire now?).This has a little more of a complex flavor than garlic but resembles garlic enough to replace it in any dish I've made, including my lamb dishes.
