Jasmine Bai Hao Yinzhen, also known as Jasmine Silver Needles, is a light and slightly-oxidised top-grade Fujian white tea picked using the only the highest quality leaf buds grown in the town of Panxizhen. The tea leaves are processed in the nearby village of Hulin, Fuding County. They are kept in cold-storage until late summer, when they are transported to Hengxian County, Guangxi Province where scenting with Jasmine flowers takes place. When brewed with hot water, the leaves will produce a pale golden liquor in your cup, with a floral jasmine aroma and a smooth refreshing taste. This Chinese tea is picked in the village of Hulin, located at an elevation of 400-500m in Fuding County (on the border between Northern Fujian Province and Southern Zhejiang Province). The county of Fuding is one of China's most renowned for tea production with many varieties of high quality green and white teas grown there. Silver Needles were, for many centuries, reserved for the Chinese Imperial family, although nowdays can be found in two counties of Fujian province - Fuding and Zhenghe - both areas famous for their long history of white tea production. The tea is manufactured from cultivars of the Fuding Da Bai variety.
