Why did you choose this product over others?: Wanted something smaller as my Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 speakers were incongruous and far too big on thd bookcases. These tiny little units have wonderful clarity and bass punch and the stereo separation is excellent. I'm using a NAD amp which matches well. Very pleased and would recommend to those who want something with power yet compact.

I needed a couple bookshelf speakers for the kitchen and I'm glad I picked these. Small but more than enough power to fill the space with good, loud, clear sound. Took no time to set up. I'd buy them again.

Needed speakers in the kitchen. I simply can't believe that anyone anywhere has better speakers for this price. They are small, solid, nicely covered, grills easily removed and replaced. Connectors are also solid and sure. Easy to hang with included anchors. Sound is more than adequate for anywhere you'd put $35 speakers. Surprising bass. Not looking for boutique perfection. A great value.

I purchased these (did not get them for free like most of the other reviewers as of the date of this posting) to play back low-level background music for my dogs when I’m not home (think elevator music, escape channel on the Sirius/xm). I have them hooked to a small amp that uses a TDA7375A Stereo Power Amplifier chip (Class A/B) that is about 12 watts/channel, signal supplied by an amazon Echo line level out. After being broken-in for a few days (they sound a bit aggressive/honky out of the box) they manage to sound really decent. The “tweeter” is more like a full range driver, due to this they have a very clear treble and an extremely good sound stage. The speakers sound much larger than they are. They also manage to have bass that is in line, level wise with the treble, almost like a smart speaker with DSP. The speakers are rear ported, although I’ve not taken them apart, I think both the mini woofer (bottom driver) and the full range speaker (top driver) share the same acoustic space (whatever works I guess). For the price they are a pretty good deal (assuming you don’t have crazy expectations). It's hands down better than the Micca COVO-S - the worst speaker I've ever purchased from amazon.
