Product Description The finale of the popular US drama charting the lives and loves of a group of vulnerable and provocative teenagers in small-town America. Reunited for a family wedding after five years apart, Dawson and his friends enjoy the celebration until they hear some heart-rending news. With the future ahead looking ever-more unclear for the group, Joey struggles to realise her true feelings for Dawson, Pacey and her current boyfriend; her conclusions are a revelation to everybody. .co.uk Review With its series-finale episode, Dawson's Creek summed up its six-year run on the WB Network with a sweet and sad tale of reunion and farewell for old friends, soul mates, and lovers. The friends are now 25 and living new lives: Dawson (James Van Der Beek) is in Hollywood executive-producing The Creek, obviously based on his own life and considered "the new hit teen soap at the WB"; Joey (Katie Holmes) is a book editor in New York with a serious beau; Jen (Michelle Williams) is a single mother; Pacey (Joshua Jackson) is the relatively respectable owner of the reborn Icehouse Restaurant; and Jack (Kerr Smith) is teaching at the high school and struggling with his relationship. A wedding brings everyone together in Capeside, but tragedy strikes, and the remaining friends are left to consider their lives and what they want to do with them. Whether or not you agree with the final choices, of course, probably depends on who you've been rooting for.--David Horiuchi

Wonderful trip down memory lane
I came across this DVD while browsing on Amazon the other day and it brought back loads of memories so I decided to order it and then put aside a couple of hours for me, a pot of tea, some biscuits and a box of tissues for the inevitable waterfall of tears that I knew would come. This DVD was the perfect finale for this whole set of series - several years in the future and we meet up again with our old friends Dawson, Pacey, Jen, Joey and Jack etc. All but Pacey (who now owns a restaurant in Capeside) and Jack (who is teaching at the school there) have moved away from Capeside (Hollywood for Dawson and New York for Joey) and they are all brought back together for the wedding of Dawson's Mum. They haven't seen each other for a long time and there are lots of reminiscing to be done and decisions to be made and also something that will turn their world upside down........I don't want to ruin it as I know that there are some who haven't seen this episode yet (if you haven't be careful reading further on as some reviews tell the plot) but suffice to say it's a real tearjerker and had me sniveling into my hankie all over again. If you were a fan of the series (or even if you dipped in and out of their lives over the years), this is such a great last episode and ties up some lose ends but don't forget those hankies....you really will need them.

Great ending!
Item arrived very quickly within a couple of days of ordering. Great price, good packaging. I used to love Dawson's Creek, and have watched all the series when they were first aired. This took me right back to my youth. And what a perfect, sad at times but perfectly put together ending you could wish for. Joey ends up with the one you want her to choose. Great memories, don't make them like this anymore. Will definitely be buying the complete boxset soon to re-watch all again. Fantastic buy, definitely recommend, great service and good quality for price. Very happy :)

Beware if you already have Season 6
If you already have Season 6 of DC - to my mind, one of the best made, amply fulfilling the promise of the best earlier episodes - then DO NOT buy this Finale, since it merely reproduces as two episodes the last, double length, episode of Series 6. The info about this really ought to have been clearer.

made me a Dawsons creek fan again
If like me you enjoyed the first 4 seasons of Dawsons creek but felt that it started to lose its appeal towards the end this dvd will bring you back into the Dawsons creek fold.Well written and brilliantly acted by all a fitting end to a series that was more good than bad.Has extra scenes not shown on channel 4 that tie up all the lose ends.Really worth a watch.

Waste of time watching
Disappointing ending - thought it should've been left at series 5. with Joey & Dawson finally back together and Pacey & Audrey together, rather than both guys totally pining for Joey. Sure she's very pretty - like the type nearly every girl wants to look like, and guys want their girlfriend to look like, but there are other great girls besides her for guys. I really liked Audrey as a character - how could such a cool girl be called Audrey? And Pacey & Audrey seemed well-matched with his difficult relationship with his dad (no wonder he punched him in series 2!) and her difficult relationship with her mum. They seemed more well-suited than Joey and Pacey, who seemed always to have a brother & sister relationship, i.e. often bickering but deep down fond of each other. And why did Jen have to die? Why not be a single mum for a while, then find the man she's meant to marry? Also, isn't it a bit cliched that "Deputy Doug" turns out to prove Pacey's early gay taunts right, and end up with the gay one of the group of friends? Only got DVD to see alternate ending (Joey choosing Dawson), but that wasn't on DVD - was just a few series 1 bits! 0/10 - but it'll go to a good cause - charity shop! Should've ended in series 5, not keen on series 6.
