This is exactly what I’ve been looking for
I’m using this as a dedicated gaming console powered by a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung Dex works perfectly as I assumed it would. It’s not advertised as compatible with Samsung phones and tablets but I can confirm it absolutely is. The phone actually fits very nicely as it comes however i put a strip of magnetic tape on the pivoting back rest part so I could stick the phone on it. It all came out even better than I thought it would. Before this I was using the Ugreen 4 in 1 USB C Magnetic Dock and I would still recommend that one as it is an amazing little dock. The only downside of the 4 in 1 is that the usb c host cable is not removable. That being said I never once had an issue with it. Ugreen does not mess around when it comes to build quality and I’m here for it.

Probably the nicest dock to leave infrastructure or beside the TV when not in use.
Great dock that considers the visual impact of having one on display at home. I really like how minimal and out of the way it folds down to when not in use. When you fold it out it's all functional and sturdy too. The cable is the only down side, it's short and quite stiff, and if your device has the input on the far left side, it kind of fights alignment. I will try to find a suitable length flat cable to replace it, but it's at least replaceable!Build quality is strong, sturday, maybe heavy for travel use, but this is really more for leaving at home. I'd still just take a dongle for travel use.

Almost Perfect
I bought this dock because I wanted extra USB ports for mouse, keyboard, and flash drive in addition to the HDMA port. Once installed, I discovered that the Steam Deck was getting power, but none of the ports on the dock were functional. I thought it was a bad dock, but trouble shooting revealed the problem was the short cable connecting the Steam Deck to the dock. I replaced that, and now it works perfectly. FYI - this is the cable that interfaces USB data + power from the Steam Deck to the dock.

A must have
Definitely need it if you have a handheld gaming console. Looks smooth and it’s got all the right ports. Highly recommend.

Great home dock, not so much for travel.
Everything works great, and I looked at a handful of other options and this one does everything I need it to. I personally don't need to travel around with it, but I could see that as its biggest downside. It's bigger than most, and has pretty sharp corners. I would never use this as a travel dock though. Were I to need to travel and also need a dock, I would probably buy another one...that's just how bad this one for that purpose. But if all you need is to set this up somewhere in your house and even move room to room, this thing is great. In all honestly, I think you could travel with it, and I think it would take it fine, but you're typically putting something like this in the thinner netting pockets in cases and such and this is a no go for that. You could just toss this thing loose in any bag and it would be fine I think. Might scuff it up, but the thing feels about as bulletproof as a dock would be.

not good.
uses a network chipset with bad linux drivers, so network performance is worse than expected on linux devices. getting the dock to power your device is quite unlike others, in that in requires a song-and-dance where you have to plug things in a certain order to actually get your upstream device to charge.
