Very durable and large!
I purchased this item to substitute one similar Samsonite model purchased in 2001, the suitcase is indestructible, the shell is very durable. This particular one is very large and requires attention not to exceed 50 Lb airlines allow nowadays, the only downside is that the net that holds the upper part is not held by a zipper and the stuff falls through the sides when opening. I recommend it!

Big, lightweight and bright luggage.
Haven’t used it yet. It is big. Which is why I bought it. Seems to roll easily. It is lightweight too.

Best suitcase
Bought this same suitcase 10 years ago. The absolute best case. Lightweight and durable. Needed another case and was so excited to find on Amazon.

Great Suitcase
As a road warrior, I love this suitcase. I fly about 85% of the year and this hardshell case can take a beating. So on the first trip, the Samsonite badge fell off. Aside from that it has held its on well. With it being a 4 wheel roller, it's effortless moving it around with one hand. Even with it fully loaded with 75 lbs of stuff in it. Bags comparable to this will take a beating if its full (your stuff inside keeps it from cracking and caving in). Think about trying to crush a unopened soda can vs a empty one. This is not the case with this hardshell. I'll have it less than half way full and there is no damage to it. I can sit on it while its on its side and it doesn't give in. Inside there is no liner, just the shell. I dont really see this as a issue. There is one divider to help things stay put when opening the case. There is a water resistant seal around the lid which i think is nice. The bright orange color makes it easy to spot at baggage claim or if it gets lost in transit. Overall for the price and durability this is a steal.

Great for Airlines [UPDATE]
This is a very large and robust case, which I really find can hold up well to travel. The lack of zipper really makes for a robust set up. But the sheer size can create some issues. I have travelled several thousand miles with this bag, it's been lost twice, one time taking a cross country jaunt without me from coast to coast. It's bright and obvious to see, so baggage handlers can spot it in a sea of other bags, as can I. So far I don't have any issues, although being so big it can be a bit cumbersome at times. What you lose in convenience you gain in storage space. *** UPDATE Having owned this case for less than four months and flown less than 30 times, my luggage showed up on the carousel missing a wheel. Now I get that baggage handlers are not that gentle, and I get the bag was pretty full (although not even close to being deemed 'heavy' by the airline), but an entire wheel breaking off so soon after purchase is inexcusable. The airline of course calls this reasonable wear and tear. I've had it too long for Amazon to take it back. And forget your ten year warranty from Samsonite; that's just a joke. They specifically exclude damage such as this. Yep, they make a bag with the word "F'light" in it, and then essentially tell you that their bags can't withstand the rigors of actually taking them on a flight. The only upside is that the case is well constructed, so I can use it as a fairly weatherproof storage box. I'll have to buy another suitcase though. I am beginning to question Samsonite quality control. I bought one that lasted well over 150 flights. Then another that lasted just months (the TSA lock broke so I couldn't lock it). Now this which lasted less than four months. At this rate I'm going to be spending $600 a year on suitcases. Beginning to wonder if I need to look to another brand.

Was a breeze to wheel this thing around, and very sturdy for the weight. Took it on a long flight with multiple connections and it came off the conveyor smelling like roses compared to another cheaper bag I'd bought for the trip.
