Book contains many common known recipes from Hungarian kitchen and is accompanied by very helpful step by step photographs with final result photos for those that are not familiar with traditional Hungarian food.

This is a good overview of mainstream Hungarian cooking; personally I would have liked less background information on Hungary and a few more recipes instead, but they do seem very accurate and practical, and a surprising number have made my list of dishes to try out at home.

This book has a lot of great of Hungarian recipes. Great for anyone who likes to recreate the lovely Hungarian cuisine.

Lovely illustrations. A wonderful chef.

I'm a Hungarian food expert and just looked through the recipes in the preview, totally baffled. I'm happy that the people who cooked from this book liked the food, but those are, similarly to the ingredients are far from real Hungarian classics. Oregano, feta and olives are mediterranean ingredients, however Hungary is in Central Europe. The content is absolutely incorrect and I presume the author has never seen a bejgli in her life, as the one featured in the book has nothing to do with the real thing.

My wife was born in Budapest during WW II. She, her Mother till she was 100 and Sister are not only excellent cooks but are excellent cooks of Hungarian dishes. She decided to give these to the next generation daughter, nieces and cousin's children for Christmas. She combed through all of your cookbook offerings and selected two. They were well received and are being used.

Just got back from Hungary and saw this book in the accommodations that we had and definitely needed it for the good recipes.

Dopo il mio viaggio in Ungheria quest'estate e una affannosa ricerca a 38 gradi sotto il sole di Budapest, ho trovato il libro, proprio quello che volevo, da casa. Quando si cerca un libro sull cucina di un altro paese è difficile trovare nello stesso volume una buona scelta dei piatti che si vorrebbe tanto "rifare" a casa eallo stesso tempo spiegazioni accurate, belle foto e magari qualche variazione interessante: in questo caso l'autrice riesce a coniugare tutti questi elementi e il libro è semplice, ben strutturato e facile da seguire. Raccomandato!
