10 Madagascar Bourbon Planifolia Gourmet Grade A Vanilla Beans 6-7 inches

Well I have to say after looking most of my life for the perfect vanilla bean in the world I believe I finally found it. For over 40 years I have tried many of different brands of vanilla beans from all over the world. I was on the Amazon site about a year ago and came across your product and knew that I have never tried it before. I order 30 vanilla beans in 3 bathes of ten because there was something I used them for. I have been making homemade vanilla extract for over 30 years now. I found the perfect Bourbon Whiskey that is a Ten year old aged Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey that has a price tag of over $800.00 for a liter bottle of it so I guess you would see why I would need top quality vanilla beans to make the vanilla extract. I ran across your product on Amazon and thought I would give it a try in my next batch of vanilla extract. I use 30 vanilla beans for the liter bottle of Bourbon Whiskey and then I place it in a cool dark place and let it age for at least one year. The number one thing you have to remember is to split each vanilla bean from one end to the other for the Bourbon Whiskey to get the full flavor of each vanilla bean as it goes through the ageing process. You should let it age for no less then three months. I prefer to age mine for at least one year. Each one liter bottle will last me for about 2 to 3 years. When I am down to 1/4 of a bottle I would begin to start another liter bottle of it. That is where it comes down to your vanilla beans I bought from you a little over a year ago. That is when I started a new one liter bottle of Bourbon vanilla extract using your vanilla beans. After ageing about a year I gave it a try. I first smelled it and that was perfect. Then I took a teaspoon and took a little taste of it. Behold. It is the best vanilla extract that I have ever had. I know that it cast a lot to make my vanilla extract but you can look at it this way. With just a $870.00 investment after ageing my vanilla extract for one year the value goes up over 5000%. So I really believe it is worth it. Matter of fact I keep my vanilla extract in a locked safe when I am using it. After all it is worth thousands of dollars. They came vacuum packed which was nice. The shipping price was ridiculous. $2.00 order cost $5.00 to ship? This was a second batch ordered but the first was from another place. This is the first time I have ever used vanilla beans but I am using them to make homemade vanilla extract as Christmas gifts They are soaking in the vodka as i write this. I really hope it turns out good so far they've been soaking for about two weeks and smells really good.

I had at first given this product a review of 1 star not because of the quality of the product but because I had not recieved them in a timely manner, however today after 2 weeks I recived not only wonderful quality vanilla beans but also an email from the company expaining a diffeculty they were having with the postal service. The review after getting the beans and explanation is 4 stars wonderful product. The vanilla beans have a deep scent and wonderful texture cant wait to use them.

I have never used vanilla beans before. I was surprised at the earthy smell of the beans. They were pliable and seemed to be in good shape. I have them steeping in alcohol to make extract and it smells wonderful! I think it will turn out great. I'm sorry I cannot give you a more informed review.

These beans are great! They always come plump and fresh! I will certainly keep using this brand and this company! I make my own vanilla extract with these beans. I use one bottle Original Rum to 5 of these beans. Store in airtight container and shelf for at least two months. I love these vanilla beans!

Beautiful! I bought two beans for $20 at stop n shop and they were not even as good as these. These are cheap and even better. They have a ton of seeds inside which are the most flavorful part of the beans. Definitely buying again...I had a complication with the package because I did not receive it when I was told it came but they emailed me back and sent it again.

The beans are rather thin but have a lot of beans. I've already used them in so many desserts and they taste wonderful. The packaging is the only downside as the bag is vacuumed sealed. I kept mine in its packaging and wrapped it tightly in plastic wrap. Store them in a dark place like the pantry and don't let them dry out or get wet.

Got these for my Mom. She is already making vanilla extract with 4 split beans to each cup of Vodka. She checks/shakes the tightly closed glass jar mixture each week. 4 more weeks to go! Extract has gotten so expensive, therefore, it's easy and cheaper to make you own.
