This foot will fit most Brother, Toyota, Silver, Singer etc but not some Janome machines which have the foot displaced slightly. At 4 mm thick including the two skids on the underside, it is thicker than the normal foot. this means lifting the presser foot up a bit higher to enable work piece to be removed. It does work very well, enabling parallel lines and edges to be followed very easily. The underside is similar to an embroidery or satin stitch foot in that there is a gap between the foot and the fabric courtesy of the two skids or skis, this prevents tightly packed embroidery stitches from being deformed and enables the fabric to move more freely back and forth whilst sewing. The cross needle location line is very helpful in starting off in the right place and there is also a centering line at the front/middle. I now tend to leave this foot permanently on the machine.

I needed a foot for piping on chair cushion as I found it almost impossible to manage without ! one was not supplied with my new singer sewing machine ..so thought I would try this ......very cheap but worked fine ...seems sturdy enough though I have not used it again since first use ...so only time will tell ....but very happy with it

I always avoided piping but came across this and found it to be brilliant.

Janome 605 - fits but bar doesn't fit snug as the other clip on foots do, but seems to do the job. I have yet to try it on my Jaome Atalia3

Great little presser foot. I can't believe I have never used a piping foot before. My piping looks much straighter and neater. No more unsightly stitching showing when I turn the fabric right sides out. Perfect fit for my John Lewis sewing machine (which fits Janome accessories). Can't fault it. Great value for money
