These are good quality and work a treat
I have been using 4 of these to cool down a hot running StarTech Thunderbolt, they work a treat The reason for the hot running is 2*240hz gaming monitors connected to an MSI Gamer PC. The heatsinks do a great job. It takes 4 of these to cover the top of the thunderbolt.

Good item
Don’t know if they’re helping or not, but I bought them to dissipate heat from an NVME drive and they certainly get warm. I have one placed on the desk with the drive on top and then another on top of that so that they are sandwiching them. Perhaps the drive didn’t need anything, but I’ve used these with it and have had no problems with the drive working flawlessly. Very happy.
