This book picks up after she is turned and the transition into something she never wanted to be has left her in a bad state unable to feed. Kade feels guilty having turned her knowing she didn't want it but unable to let her go.A Psycho killer Sydney arrested with her partner Anthony, breaks out of prison on a mission to get revenge on her. Antony arrives to warn her and discovers the new but not improved Sydney. He agrees to help Kade in any way to try get Sydney to accept her new nature so she can feed while they also go on the hunt for the escaped psycho.The Immortals on New Orleans is a favorite of mine. I started the series a while back and was hooked from book one which is why I was looking forward to finding out what was happening with Sydney and Kade.It was nice going back to the couple who started it all and the author has a way of making you feel dirty (but in a good way) when reading her books. I always want to cover it up when someone walks past so prying eyes cant see what I'm reading. If you've read the books in this series you will know that there is a sort of formula when it comes to the sex scenes. I like couples to be just that. A couple. This author has a way of pushing that and making it work. I wasn't exactly thrilled with how some of the sex scenes panned out for one of the past couples but in the story they were wolves and that's how they roll. I'm not a prude but I am a bit of a romantic at heart so I was a bit worried when it came to Kade and Syd as I really loved them together but this worked well. It was steamy without leaving you feeling uncomfortable.The banter in this book was brilliant especially the stuff between Kade, Antony and Luca. I will always have a soft spot for Luca so it was great to have him in it too. I think this sets up for the next book nicely and I really cant wait to get into Jax's story.I rate this 8 out of 10 Loved it! Oh my!!!! I almost couldn’t believe that this was a novella. Kade & Sydney, wow!!! All of Kym Grosso’s fans have been waiting to see more of these two. We have all been very worried about Sydney & how she was going to deal with the things that have happened.Sydney is not adjusting well to the change & Kade is about at his wits end. He knows she needs to learn to feed but every time she has tried on her own she has hurt the donor. He finally comes up with a plan, meanwhile Syd takes off without telling anyone. She’s come up with a plan, too! Only hers tends to lead to some problems…And yes, Sydney’s plan kind of goes awry but just wait… Kades’ just might work. Some might think that because this is a novella there might not be a lot happening. They would be WRONG! This book is jam packed with situations that will keep you on the edge of your seat AND have you gasping with surprise!!! Kym Grosso has done it again!!!!!

Loved it. What a exciting and entertaining story. Kade and Sydney have always had a strong love but with the need to turn Sydney Kade didn't know what he was up against. Sydney never wanted to become a vampire but with the demon causing so much damage to her body Kade had no choice. Now she must learn to feed and live as a vampire something she never wanted to do. Can they work through all that with the killer on the loose especially when he's after Sydney? Kym Grosso did a great job with this book and bringing it to life. The storyline was well written and very interesting to me. I read it in one sitting it was that good. Love this series and this book was a great addition to the series. Can't wait for the next book. Highly recommend.

I love this series! Even though this is a small spin off of the 6th book in which Sydney gets hurt trying to protect a child and help Leopold and his future mate. I'm so glad i found it! I was scared i wasn't going to here what happens to Sydney and Kade after he had to turn her! So i was very pleased she went a head and gave us this book to let us all know! She's a wonderful writer, passionate, transforming, amazing imagination! These books will grab your attention and keep it, and the books are cheap. I couldn't stop reading for days. Read Immortals of New Orleans Series!!!!!!!!!!!! & Please Kym give us another!!!!!!!!!

Kade the head vimpire in New Orleans not the oldest but the boss of the vampires in New Orleans has had to turn his human girlfriend to save her life. Now Sydney can't feed with out hurting the donor so she doesn't want to eat. But Kade comes up with a plan. Then something from her past comes to town and almost destroys it all. So enjoy the read and audio and hope for a HEA ending ! !

Super hot, hot, hot guys but great books. Can't put these books down. On to the next book, yessss. Must read.

it was great

Waiting for this book was a pain, but what an amazing read. Sydney is attacked by a demon and Kade has to turn her much to her disgust. She struggles with the fact that she has to feed from donors and that she can no longer give Kade the complete nourishment he needs. To top it all an extremely dangerous serial killer that she and her police partner put away has escaped and is out to capture her. There's a few shocks in this story you don't see coming, but once you start this book you won't be able to out it down. Leaves you on quite a cliff hanger desperate for the next book.

It was really good to catch up with Kade and Sydney, the love they have for each other is so sweet, Kade will do anything for her, even things that he would rather not do, things that she doesnt want him to do, I love the way the book plays out too, I absolutely love this series and can't wait for the next book, amazing job again Kym!

Loved this story the characters and the storyline grabbed me from the beginning I couldn't put this book down a must read
