This was a great purchase for the price. The wiring was pretty straight forward but setting the studs in the wet concrete requires some skill. I assembled the top parts and completed the wiring so I only had to connect the base to the rest of the unit. My previous light was just a pole in the dirt with no concrete around it. Pouring the base for this one wasn't difficult but you need to be very careful of the mounting studs. Regardless of what the instructions say, you should set the studs to 2 inches above the base plate. The instructions say set to 1.5 inches above the base plate but the studs ended up being about 0.25 inches too short so I had to grind that much off of the base on all side to get the cap nuts to grab the threads. If the studs end up being too long for the cap nuts, you can always grind the extra stud length off so the caps fit. Other than that, this thing was easy to install and it looks pretty good IMO.

I just really love this yard lamp but the electrical outlet on the post did not have a ground so it shorted out. I replaced the plug in and put a ground works wonderfully. A very attractive light.

I received two of these and both were broken. The boxes have no packing in them and the parts are heavy and fragile. These need to be in a bigger box with lots of packing. I still have a broken lamp. I don’t understand the type product this is why it’s not packed better. So I would beware of ordering because of the packing. The Lamp is beautiful but the packing SUXS.

The directions are not very clear regarding steps before attaching wires. After a couple attempts ditched directions and figured it out ourselves. My husband had to peel the wires to expose more wire to properly connect as you have 5 white wires that must all be connected as one bunch. Also tool for tightening lamp arm nut is awkward use a box end wrench with ratchet. Other than the initial first few steps it was a breeze and happy with the product.

Replaced an old lamp post and the new one was a simple remove and replace DIY project.

Easy assembly although there are no directions only a picture. The fit of parts is excellent and the finish is great. Will buy again.
