Product quality of the screw in piece is very poor not near precise enough. When you screw it in it causes your pin to go off center and ruins your connector. It will relieve the hydraulic pressure but only once, then you'll have to to buy a new connector and add it to your hose. I was lucky that it only cost 19$ to have my connector replaced.

I ordered these hydraulic fluid pressure relief tools to be used on the hydraulic lines for the grapple on my Kubota tractor. The quick connect couplers that I had initially installed were unfortunately an off brand making them nearly incompatible with these tools. I contacted the manufacture, PT Squared and they immediately got back to me with a very easy solution -getting proper quick connects that fit their product perfectly. . Great idea but poorly executed based on the product received. Threaded hole in the center of the part of their male fitting is not perpendicular. The end of the T-handled screw, won't release pressure since it doesn't come close to the plunger on the actual hydraulic fitting. This tool would damage the actual hydraulic fitting. Tool is being returned.
