HICKIES Kids - Tie-Free Elastic Shoe Laces

I got them for my 5 and 7 year old kids who said it took too long to tie their shoes for recess. Thought this would be the fix. Instead the piece that hold these together still took sometime to get the other side of strap connected correctly and not push through the other side. If anything, they now feel tying is not that bad. So for what its worth- we give them a 3 for looks and good idea but just not a great solution. Maybe a snap would be better.

They worked okay for a few months, then almost all of them broke within two weeks. They sent me replacements, and they broke within two months. Not what I expected, great idea, not durable.
