Backyard Sandbox

I have two little boys, one of whom is too small to play in a sandbox yet, but I wanted to make sure we got a sandbox that would be large enough for them both once he gets old enough. Those little plastic crab and turtle sandboxes are so cute, but I thought they would be too small. The Kidkraft Backyard Sandbox is just what we were looking for! It's plenty large enough for multiple kids to play, and the bench seats in the corners are very handy. They are sturdy enough for me to sit on, too. As for fun value, my not-quite-three-year-old will play in there indefinitely. He spent hours in it the day we filled it, and about an hour of that was without any toys! The sandbox was easy to put together, and is made of high quality wood. We just put a tarp under it to hold in the sand. The cover works fine to keep out leaves, cats, etc. We put in 15 50-lb. bags of sand, and it probably needs another 2 or 3, just to give folks an idea of how much it will hold. Bottom line, great sandbox and a great way to keep your kids entertained for hours!

Kids love it. I dug out a place in our yard for the sandbox as I did not want grass decomposing underneath the sand. I dug out ~ the same dimensions as the sand box and it took ~0.75m3 of sand. The wood is light making the package easy to handle. Do not think that would make it poor quality it is well suited to this application. The sandbox does contain a plastic internal liner if you just want to place it some where and not dig like I did, I believe that 0.32m3 of sand would be plenty.

Pésima calidad!!!! La madera es muy fina y blanda….las roscas previstos para los tornillos no coinciden con los demás huecos. Después de 2 semanas la madera empezó a romperse sola… grietas que parten la madera…. El barnizado es nada más una película fina de pintura que no lo protege para nada!!! No volvería a comprarlo y no aconsejo a nadie que lo compra para sus hijos!!!

Montage facile et ils ont pensées à tout! Je m'attendais à un cadre plus massif mais c'est très suffisant.
