My sister's 18th birthday was coming up so i really needed a bargain camcorder to record and have a professional pan of her best moments to make a decent video after her birthday, so i looked for chap but bargain one; after reading the review i decided that this was the one for me, it worked really well and couldn't be better for the current price i played.In the box comes a camera case and two batteries along with the usual things, two battery backs is really useful also considering that you don't get more than one for such cheap camcorders and cameras. A slight issue could be the picture quality which is not the best here but can do with slight improvement, in my opinion.The price as you'd notice is a great bargain for me and i think other people should take advantage of this price too.For first use of this camcorder i really think it was fairly straight forward and did not have any complicated set up for me. It also has a clever sensor where when you close the screen it switches on or off accordingly which is really a quick and battery saving idea because in events you may forget to manually switch it off but by just closing the screen it switches off automatically, so this really was a great benefit to see. This would work for small and family based events.

I wanted to buy a small camera that would capture some family memories & I bought this little camcorder to try out. It’s a nice small camcorder which comes with 2 batteries. I think between them it’ll capture around 3 hours of recording if not a little more. It’s nice & compact, will easily fit in any bag. The quality of the picture is good & night vision is ok. The zoom function is good enough for what you pay for, it also comes with a remote so I’ve attached the camcorder to the tripod then used the remote to control while I’m also in the picture. It’s not anything like the expensive models but good enough for capturing small family moments.

I purchased this camera in late 2019 to use for a Paranormal Investigation company, having had a relatively expensive action cam that just didn't work out for what we wanted.For the price I was sceptical, but actually when the item came it was perfect for what we wanted.Due to the Pandemic we had to stop filming so I stored the camera away in a case, in a room of the house that doesn't get overly hot or freezing cold and I ensured I took the camera out every so often to give it a bit of juice and film a little bit.I took it out today to do the same and it wouldn't switch on. Thinking the battery might be drained I went to remove it, pushed the little latch to release it... and it didn't budge.I checked the spare battery which had been stored with the camera and it had blown, the sides were all bulbed out and the contacts were corroded, I can only presume the same has happened to the one in the camera and that's why it won't come out.I can't even purchase replacements as I can't remove the one that is wedged in the camera, and I also have no idea if it's done any damage to the contacts.Brilliant while it lasted, but the batteries seem to be a bit of an issue and in my case have stopped the whole thing from working.

I bought the camera about a month ago, at the time of writing, as I was looking for a cheap solution for making music videos which I could share with remote musical friends. The idea being to produce something collectively during the current lockdown situation, and I didn't feel that my usage would justify the GoPro-type solutions that are available.Pros:>Inexpensive.>Portable and fairly versatile - for example, it was easy to 'tape' onto a mic stand and place around the room to capture video - something I couldn't do with my tablet/laptop.>Remote control - again, handy if you want to start and stop recording yourself already in position, for example from across the room.>2 batteries supplied - battery life isn't great. I haven't measured this but the power indicator doesn't fill me with confidence and seems to drain quickly - although I did manage to record for about 25 minutes (on and off) without loss of power. Having two batteries makes up for this I feel.>Can be used as a webcam - although not in the manual as far as I could see, this mode is accessed by holding the 'photo' button while powering on.Cons:>The picture quality. Although it may capture 'full HD' - in this case 1920x1080 - the picture is a bit grainy, although I should say I used this with all settings in 'auto'. By comparison, video taken with my laptop, using the built in camera at the same resolution, is much, much clearer in exactly the same lighting conditions. In addition, when using full HD mode, the frame rate drops to 15 fps (it's 30 fps in the lower resolution modes) which results in blurred motion and definitely detracts from the overall quality. I really noticed this when I began to edit my videos on a laptop. The spec may satisfy the HD description, but the results are not high definition.>Sound quality - the built in microphone is pretty much as expected, not particularly sensitive and the captured sound is fairly dull and quiet (mono, 16000 kHz, 256 kbps) when I compared it to separately recorded audio using a decent microphone. There is no option for an alternative microphone input - if you plan, as I did, to use this for music applications, I would say recording audio separately is a must.>Battery charging - the battery has to be charged when inside the camera. A minor thing really, but you can't therefore charge the other battery and use the camera at the same time.>The instruction manual. The translation to English is not perfect, but a better job than I could do, for sure!The camera operation is fairly simple though; 3 main modes - video, photo and playback, therefore it shouldn't take to long to become familiar with, even if you disregard the manual. A 4th 'webcam' mode is also available but not detailed, as far as I can see, in the manual.Summary - I bought this because I wanted an easy, affordable option to capture good quality video for sharing with my friends and family, and maybe as a quality alternative to my built in laptop webcam. With hindsight, for my intended use, the compact laptop that I already own will give me better quality video results for indoors, and my mobile phone will be handier, and with at least as good battery life, for outdoor use.I haven't rated, or considered the other features in this review, like 'night mode' and 'beauty face' etc. because I haven't used them. Perhaps these features would make this camera a better option for those that would make use of them.Inexpensive and versatile, but not a bargain, mainly because of the video quality, I think this camera could be a decent option to give to your kids - definitely more of a 'fun' thing rather than a serious camera - and that's probably what I'm going to do with it. I can always borrow it back.

I gave this to my fella who isn't at all techy minded, and he had no problems with getting it up and running, which was a great start! He's taken some really good quality still photos with it as well as a bit of videoing, and so far he's really pleased with it. A couple of niggles - it has a lens cap which you have to take off and replace by hand, and I feel it would be better with the usual cover which automatically opens and closes as you turn the camera on and off, but as this camcorder is a 'cheap and cheerful' model you're going to get what you pay for. And the batteries seem to need recharging pretty quickly. But it comes complete with two batteries, so that's a big plus.Otherwise all good. A really nice fun entry level camcorder which doesn't cost the earth and gives surprisingly good results.

The quality of video is very good and sound is clear. This device is light weighted and it is really portable. The only thing I needed to do extra was to buy a SD card. I bought a Sandisk 32 GB SD card which is very compatible with this device. Overall, I am satisfied. Clear buy recommendation.
