This is the second pump I've had in this design. I am still using the first one with great results and no complaints. But this one is a different brand and was a lower price, well you get what you pay for. This one is a big disappointment, has very weak pump, can barely move the fluid (diesel) to the end of it's hose, yes, I had brand new batteries in it. Also, the clip on the end of the hose is very weak, flimsy, does not grip at all. My other brand's clip is tight and strong, I can clip it to the fill opening of the equipment and not have any worries its going to pop off. I transfer a lot of fuel out of 5 gallon jerry cans just to let a person know I am no novice in dealing with fuel transfers. My advice, look for another brand or setup.

I see a number of complaints about attaching the hose to the pump and I see why that is. I tried for a minute then ran the end of the hose under some hot water and that relaxed it enough it went right on...easy once you figure it out. I needed to drain the tank on a quad and a generator and this pump did the job. It's not the fastest pump in the world but it doesn't have to be. After draining the tanks I pump the gas into the tank on my truck but had to put the pump and gas can on the bed cover. The pump didn't like pumping the gas uphill but that may have been the batteries (6AA's) needing a recharge. Overall....happy with the pump. Well the pump sat for 5 months before being used again and of course....it doesn't work now. Replaced the batteries, not the problem. Checked everything I could and tossed it in the dumpster.....not worth buying since it lasted all of 1 use.
