Nothing I’ve ever made from them has ever disappointed, and these recipes look delectable
Move over Thug Kitchen! There’s a new vegan cookbook in town. I received my Bosh cookbook today and have been a fan of their cooking. Nothing I’ve ever made from them has ever disappointed, and these recipes look delectable. I’ve ordered some cookbooks in the past from sites I love and haven’t been inspired, but this cookbook makes me want to make like 90 percent of the recipes. It has a section for quick eats, big eats, showpieces, greens and Bosh! Bowls, small plates and sharers, cocktails, desserts, and breakfasts. I feel like the information will help me make delicious recipes and will also help improve my cooking game. I’d say buy this book!

Proof that vegan is not necessarily healthy...
If you are on a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet, forget this book. Too many unhealthy ingredients are used, like oils and maple/agave syrups in abundance. There are even recipes that use brown sugar, which is simply white sugar with molasses. What's worse, I didn't find a SINGLE recipe that looked appetizing. I usually buy cookbooks with hopes of finding one or two recipes that wow me. If they accomplish that, I consider it money worth spent. Some of the best selling cookbooks usually have MANY recipes that have wowed me. However, since I no longer eat a S.A.D diet, those cookbooks no longer work for me.I bought this book because it was mentioned on a WFPB diet forum. Must have been someone new to the diet because this cookbook is not compliant. lol. I'm still waiting for the revolutionary who will come up with a cookbook with delicious recipes using ingredients such as tahini and nut butters for fat and things like date or date paste for sweetener. So far, I've only come across books that continue to use oils (a no-no for WFPB diets) or eliminate fat completely. It doesn't have to be either/or.

Beautiful book, bound too tightly.
This is a beautiful book full of color illustrations and very exciting recipes. My only complaint is that it is too tightly bound in hard covers. It would be better to have a recipe book that will lay open while I am doing the cooking.

I was really excited about getting this book, and it is nicely done. The only complaint I have is during all the hype there were recipes online for dishes that I was really eager to try because they looked so delicious, and they were not included in the book.

Very Good! But...
The recipes includded in this book are very good, however, it seems that the short video recipes shown in their Facebok page are even better and more creative. I was looking forward to having those FB recipes in print. Oh, well.

The fruit crumble was good, not great
I was very excited to buy the book as I've seen them make so many fabulous dishes online. The book doesn't offer the same diversity of recipes. I made the avocado potato salad for the 4th of July, which was a big hit. HOWEVER, the sauce called for DOUBLE the potatoes after all was said and done, so I cooked the rest of the five pound bag. The fruit crumble was good, not great, but good. I made it with coconut sugar, and it wasn't too sweet so that worked. It needed more vegan margarine for the topping, and I would add nuts next time as it just didn't pop. So far, there is NOTHING in the cookbook that wows me, which is a total letdown given the amazing online recipes. I can't say I'd buy another BOSH cookbook based on this one.

Buy this cook book
As an owner of many cook books, this is very quickly becoming my favorite of the bunch! All the recipes I have cooked have been perfect and my non-vegan friends love them as much as my vegan family. I would HIGHLY recommend adding this to your kitchen.

Praiseworthy book
This book has a great layout, with the ingredients, instructions and descriptions all very distinct and easy to distinguish. Virtually every recipe, apart from the most simple ones, has a photograph, occasionally even stretching to two pages. In some books it can seem that there are too many photographs just to fill space, but this one seems to have the balance just about right.I have bought a number of vegetarian/vegan and healthy eating cookbooks over the years and I appreciate that it must be difficult to come up with 140 interesting and unusual recipes. Therefore you can get some ultra simple 'filler' recipes which are available everywhere. This book has some of these, but not too many and there are enough creative recipes to certainly make the book worthwhile. I certainly hadn't ever seen or considered making a mezze cake for example. This recipe is available online as a video, like some of the others apparently, which is a nice touch but might put people off buying the book. From my personal point of view, I'm not sure why there is a small chapter on cocktails and as someone who does not like mushrooms at all, a lot of recipes do feature them. That's just my personal preference, particularly as non-cocktail drinker and mushroom avoider, but I'm sure some people will appreciate those things more than me.This book is certainly more impressive than a lot of other similar ones I've come across in the past, so I would suggest that most people could learn some interesting new recipes by buying it.You can look inside the book and see some of these details, but for completeness the contents page looks like this:Welcome 7This book 10Your kitchen 12Fantastic feasts 16Quick eats 20Big eats 54Showpieces 88Greens & Bosh! My most used and recommended recipe book
I'm a big foodie and own about 40 recipe books that I've collected over the years. Since trialling plant-based eating earlier this year, we've bought a few new books. BOSH! is probably the one I have used the most out of all my recipe books, ever! We have tried about 30% of the recipes now and every single one has been excellent, with big and clever flavours, that both vegan and non-vegan eaters have enjoyed. My favourites so far are the irresistible risotto (now a regular in our home), cauliflower buffalo wings, and the sweet and sticky mushrooms.I've made a few of the recipes for shared lunches at work - they went down so well that I was asked for the recipes and now two of my non-vegan colleagues have purchased this book too. Not only are the recipes so tasty, but they are easy to follow, and the vast majority of ingredients are easy to find in supermarkets. The book is also very well laid out and aesthetically pleasing, with photos throughout (I don't like recipes books without photos of the end product; seems important when food is such a visual thing!)I highly recommend this book to anybody.

Overrated
This book is the most overrated book as a cook book. Some of the problems with this book:1. Doesn't section off different types a mains, usual cook books separate the content by type of meal e.g. breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as having additional content, this book does not.2. Too many calories, if you're counting calories for dieting restrictions this book isn't for you.3. Not a lot of variable dishes/ repeat themes of mains. E.g. Too many complex carbohydrates dishes (potatoes, pasta, wheat, rice dishes) or too many same types of dishes ( curry dishes with very little changes)

Amazing recipes!
Amazing recipe book! I’m not a vegan but I don’t eat meat and I am trying to limit my dairy consumption but I find it hard to think of vegan dishes to make especially for my family where there are a few meat eaters. This book has so many vegan versions of everyone’s favourites from loads of cuisines. I’ve made a few things already and the one thing I didn’t like was the sticky orange tofu. I think because you have to make sure you drain your tofu properly. The naan bread, korma and rogan bosh are really great. I’ve added images of 2 things I’ve made.

Brilliantly complete vegan cookbook!
I rarely write reviews but as a cookbook addict, I can sadly say this is one of the best I’ve bought. It covers EVERYTHING - breakfasts, puddings, simple meals, show stoppers AND cocktails. The boys have put together a complete vegan cookbook which is full of detail and simple but delicious recipes. There’s even a section at the back that answers that oh-so familiar “but where do you get your protein?” question! Five stars for a job well done!
