You get what you pay for
Two problems.1) It's not at all clear from the photographs that this requires a USB connection to provide power, in addition to the HDMI connection. The description does say that it can be charged by USB, butthat, to me, implies it can be charged and then used until the charge runs out, not that it must be continuously powered.2) The picture freezes periodically. When only using it for a PowerPoint presentation, it lasts over eight hours, but then does freeze and needs resetting. Watching a video it freezes every twenty minutes or so.

Low quality streaming
just acceptable quality streaming. Found it very difficult to connect with WIFI as the web browser wasn't responding most of the time. Took me a long time to connect. Streaming is not as fluent as I was expecting.Unfortunately I had to reconsider my earlier review and downgrade the rating, as on further use the connection keeps dropping too frequently and unable to stream at all when you select full screen. Wouldn't recommend.

It just works!
This device is AWESOME!!!!Ok the instructions could be better but I program software for core telco equipment so IP addresses etc are easy for me.But whoever cover I thing I might be :) I didn’t realise before I bought it just how awesome this device is, because for example you can connect your phone and load up a YouTube app and stream a video and it plays - but then your phone is no longer needed! Because this device is actually a mini smart TV (without the actual screen lol)This means once you start a video playing, this device creates its own stream from YouTube. I.e. you can start a video, turn off mobile and Wi-Fi on your iPhone and the video will continue to playI had thought this device was like an Apple TV where as I understand it the data comes from the internet through your phone to the apply tv when you share the screenAnyway if none of that makes sense - just buy it anyway!

Works - Provided your computer is Miracast capable
I had presumed that my new laptop running Windows 10 would definitely be Miracast capable (laptop able to send screen content to another device) - but it isn't and cant be made to be either. So just be sure that your PC can work with Miracast before you buy this.. Search online to find out how to check your PC. It won't work with Chromecast either.Other PCs and phones we have, work with this device fine. Just be aware that the USB cable attached to the device that needs to be connected to a power source (not supplied) is very short so either the power source needs to be very nearby, behind the telly or you have an extension cable.

Poor quality and durability
It took me a while to connect this dongle to the tv for mirroring my laptop. The instructions are simply a waste of time. Look else where for connecting casting / mirroring to give you an idea.I have used this for about 6 weeks, it worked ok, some delay between sound and picture and sometimes I needed to restart my laptop before using which is a problem all on its own. After 6 weeks it has stopped working, it doesn’t give me an signal to connect to and no device I have previously used can now connect to with it. I have tried connecting to it multiple times and used 4 different TVs but nothing is working. Very disappointed it has only lasted a month and a half.

Hit or miss unreliable
Very difficult to setup instructions are poor thankfully seen a video on you tube, it does mirror but sound goes at times and goes out of sync wish i had bought a proper chrome cast I know it's a good price but don't waste your money buy a better device

Stay away from this trash!
Utter rubbish. Spent two hours trying to make sense of the instructions, watching You Tube videos and trying to coax this cheap and nasty piece of rubbish to my WiFi. It’s going back to Amazon. I really do hope they start taking some responsibility for the amount of cheap Chinese junk that is sold by them! Don’t be fooled by the price, it’s worthless!

Will work once set up but that takes some doing.
Absolute nightmare to setup and get working but picture is fine once working.I wouldn’t recommend because of the setup process, I’m fairly tech minded and I was near pulling my hair out.
