It works
I’m not one for going to the doctors but after feeling unwell for a while my husband suggested it my be a sign of me being anemic. Not wanting to faff around with the GP if it wasn’t I ordered this and it arrived next day. When it showed that I had abnormalities I booked in with the GP. Great product.

These just aren't accurate tests
As someone who has struggled with iron levels and dipped in and out of anemia for years I've had plenty of blood tests - but as many of us do, I struggle to get GP appts for bloods as regularly as I'd like. I thought these home tests, whilst not giving me an actual ugl level, might give me a kind of "early warning" or easy home test to pre-empt a trip to the GP.I've done three of these now, and they just aren't accurate enough to bother with. Mine will normally show the *absolute* faintest of a line on the T level, so faint you can barely see it unless you hold it up to the light at a window when it becomes faintly perceptible. So I'll conclude my ferritin is low - if I then get an NHS appt and have my bloods lab tested (last time a week after the home test) I find that my iron is at 60 ugl, or higher. For someone that suffers with health anxiety, getting the *wrong* information is worse than having no information at all. My conclusion then is that these don't even serve a purpose as an early warning or broad test - you really are far better off going via the NHS and getting proper bloods done to establish your serum ferritin levels.

Wasn't helpful in my case
Pretty straight forward test, though I hate finger prick tests. While waiting for a doctor's appointment, thought I would try this. The results suggested I was anaemic, and when I had my appointment and a proper blood test my results were all normal. So in my case this test didn't reflect the full blood test.

Works really well
When the NHS don't have the time to check you buy this. I have bought multiple to check my iron deficiency and it works brilliant. One little stamp on your finger and away and results within minutes. It's an accurate little kit. If your feeling unwell and need answers fast that the NHS won't give you but this kit!
