I bought this when I started to set up my new tank. Let the tank cycle for two weeks before adding fish. A week after finally adding fish my entire tank was disgustingly dirty. This does help drain the water but that's about it. Does nothing to clean the tank whatsoever. I didn't realize how bad this product actually was until I purchased the Marineland Internal Filter and within an hour it had picked up more crap than this thing did in 3 weeks. Skip this product and go for the cheaper, more effective Marineland Internal Canister Filter instead.

Stopped working after only 6 months, the motor died all of the sudden.

I purchased this filter last year from a local pet shop. I Love it! I'm hooked on the built in water change feature. I am using these filters on all of my baby fish tanks. I don't have to add gravel and it makes cleaning the tanks so much easier than using a sponge filter and a siphon.

I got this product for my brother's fish tank for his birthday and he absolutely loves it! He says there is nothing like it on the market today. He said he doesn't have to use/purchase a separate siphon for water change because this does it all.
