Good quality product
I found it quite hard in the UK to source jars or cans of clams or cockles in brine. Cockles are sold in supermarkets, pickled in vinegar. These may be suitable as a snack but I haven’t found them suitable for cooking. Clams and cockles in brine can be used to make pasta dishes, eg linguine alle vongole. This product, which has a long shelf life, made a good pasta dish and I was even able to freeze some of the cockles in brine and use them successfully after thawing overnight in the fridge.
