Grimm Myths & Legends
This was a really fun read and the artwork was well done. As a fan of the Grimm Fairy Tales series it was an interesting addition, I personally have been missing the old premise of Sela or Belinda bring the book to people who are in trouble or have a problem that relates to them rather than the current mystical war thing going on. This is a lot more down to earth and I liked it. The main character Britney is interesting and likable and of the cast a few of the people she works with stood out as interesting (albeit some came off one-note, but this is in the feel of a horror flick) which was good for the suspense. This looks like it will be a good read with the action and plot laid out in this arc. There is one point in this trade that drove me nuts, it was how random censorship of swear words was used. You'd assume that in an independent title marketed towards adults there would be none of the "@$%!" things but here it's used on-and-off, sometimes they have the characters actually say the actual expletives then for no reason at all other times will use symbols. It's very grating and a sign that the editor needs to get it together.

way better than I thought
Way, way better than I thought. I purchased on whim, curious about how the Grimm series and was very pleasantly surprised. The art is quite good but the writing is what surprised me. This comic is actually well written and interesting, it puts a unique spin on the "red riding hood" fable and leaves the reader wanting to continue reading. I would definitely recommend this comic!

Little comic playing dress up
With the Grimm Fairy tales being darker and the great art work this series could be really good. Sadly it is just ok. The reason I call this playing dress up is despite all the pretty pictures, innuendo, and bleeped out swearing, the story is very ordinary and is some cases pretty tame. In fact it comes across more of a teen scream then a horror story. As a huge comic book fan I appreciate good stories, art work, character development, and continuity. The story was as I said just ok. This would have definitely benefitted from a few less grisly murders and a lot more panels on character development. Honestly the best thing about this book is the art work especially the cover gallery. The Little Red Riding Hood story was not bad, but for Grimm standards did not really sway much from the original, though I really did not get what Brittney was supposed to have learned from the story, or why it had such a profound influence on her life. All in all an ok comic for the price and an ok introduction for people like me who have thought about reading the Grimm-verse, but never got round to it.

Loved this
If you are looking for a great, bloody, and action based comic, then I would recommend this one.I took this to SCC 2013 and is ideal for if you want the illustrators to sign it. The cover is not slippery, so it is easy to sign without worrying if it'll rub off. This has a morbid style, with some scenes a little 'off' but this comic is certainly not for under 16's in my opinion. So, parents be aware. The delivery was great and fast with super saver delivery, so I found you don't need first class delivery. Well worth every penny.

Grimm tale, but grim artwork
As an avid comic book fan for over 20 years, I was expecting better. The overall story wasn't bad and certainly had potential. However, the artwork let it down. There were some page/panels where the artist had obviously spent considerable time lovingly crafting them - these were a joy - but on the whole the rest were average, and in some cases just plain badly drawn. To the point were I wondered whether a trainee second artist had been drafted in to 'fill the gaps'. Whether the blame for that lies with the artist for not being consistant, or the editor for allowing such poor quality to be published is for someone else to decide. On the whole, I suspect I'd have enjoyed it more as an adolescent than as an adult who's been round the block. Therefore I'd recommend it to 17 - 25 year olds who play a lot of World of Warcraft and will enjoy the thrusting bossoms and elongated legs of the women characters. If you're older, or just appreciate good art, I have to say don't bother.
