Worth it
ModesFive light modes, plus Off: 1) High, 2) Low, 3) Strobe flash, 4) COB panel light and 5) SOS flashClicking through the modes in order: High, Low, Strobe flash, COB light, and Off.To trigger the SOS flash, long press the button, and to stop SOS mode and return to Off, click the button.IlluminationFor the high and low beam modes, there is a high intensity inner area called the “spot”, surrounded by a less illuminated area called the “spill”. The spill is good for illuminating the surroundings while walking at night. The spot is good for providing high illumination on particular objects. The COB light provides a diffused, even light with no focal point, so it is useful for general illumination of an area.On the flashing modes, strobe and SOS, they have the same light pattern as the High/Low beam options. For the flashing modes, I see no value other than emergency signaling. There seems to be no good reason for including two different flashing modes on this flashlight. In my testing I rate illumination on Lux instead of Lumens:• Lumens measure the total light output of a single light source, regardless of direction• Lux measures the number of lumens that reach a surface, considering distance and directionTest ResultsFrom three feet away• Spot diameter is 3 inches wide• Spill diameter is 5 feet wide• Light Intensityo High: spot is 3600 lux, spill is 40 luxo Low: spot is 600 lux, spill is 10 luxo COB: general illumination is 100 luxSurface illumination levels for comparison• 1 lux – very dim at any distance, but enough to read by if held directly against a surface• 10 lux - dim, but enough to walk around safely, or for up-close work• 100 lux - enough to light a room comfortably (uncomfortable to look at directly)• 1,000 lux - indoors on an overcast day• 10,000 lux - indoors on a bright day• 30,000 lux - outdoor noon light on an overcast day• 100,000 lux - outdoor noon light on a clear dayFull strength duration (from fully charged)• High - 3 hours• COB - 4 hours• Low - 10 hoursAfter that time, light intensity drops quickly to about 1% (1/100th) of full-strength value and lasts for another 10 hours. This low level of light is useful for up-close work or acting as a low-level night-light, but not much else.Recharging the flashlight from empty to full charge using a typical phone charger takes ~4 hours. Charging from empty to full on solar takes 12 hours of full sun, but you can get an ~80% recharge from a six-hour exposure. During charging via USB, red and blue LEDs flash alternately. When fully charged, the LED glows solid blue. When charging from solar, a green LED glows but there is no indication when fully charged.Likes• Lightweight• Solar charging• Low cost (~$10 apiece in August 2024)• Rain protected USB-C and USB-A ports• Solar charging eliminates wall charger access anxiety• IP65 rating means effectively rain-proof but not submersible• Long life Li-Ion battery eliminates battery replacement anxiety• Safe to store in temperatures under 200 degrees Fahrenheit (90 Celsius)• Limited but useful ability to use flashlight as a (very slow) charger for other USB devices• Durable enough to withstand occasional drops, but if you stepped on it you would probably break itDislikes• No metal bail ring or lanyard hole on bottom to hang light from• SOS flashing mode says HMH (…. -- .…) instead of SOS (… --- …)• No way to tell if the flashlight is fully charged when charging with solar• Right on the edge of too bulky. It’s pocketable, but barely, in front pants pocket• Useless Strobe flash mode, would rather have an ultra-low battery draw “nightlight” setting• Non-replaceable Li-Ion battery lifetime has a ~3-5 year lifetime (keep fully charged for max lifetime)OverallI think you won’t be disappointed for the price. These are good for everyday use, but especially handy during (hopefully occasional) electrical outages. Buy two, keep one charging in a window while you use the other.

Bright and lightweight!
Love that it’s solar so it’s always charged. It’s super bright and has several different modes.

Solar option Passed the test in Hurricane Helene
Works super well and is VERY BRIGHT - and solar recharge worked well with 12 days of no power or lights during Hurricane Helene. It switches on at high lumens, another push of the button lowers the lumens, and a third push of the button it blinks off and on. We wished it came on at the lower lumen setting first. The charge lasted 12 days with simply keeping the flashlight in a sunny window - no diminishing of brightness in the least. Be prepared when you turn it on - it nearly is blindingly bright.

Lightweight, Bright Flashlight.
The media could not be loaded. I am always looking for things that I can continue to use if batteries are unavailable or if I have no access to electricity and this has its own solar charging panel , as well as a USBCord for quick charging if there is no sun. It has a high and low setting, a side light that can be used for reading if you’re out camping or in case of a power outage and it is also very lightweight which makes it very easy to handle. It comes in a 2Pac so I shared one with my son, now I have to purchase another 2 pack because I will be traveling and feel the need to have more than one flashlight with me. I am so glad I found these because they will add no weight to my luggage.. I love it

Eh.
These flashlights seem to be very cheaply made. They're very lightweight and don't seem durable at all. I can see them being ideal for backpacking because they weigh practically nothing, but the fact that they seem like they'll break with one drop is a little off putting. Another bothersome thing about these is that they don't have charging indicators, so I have absolutely no idea how much of a charge these have or if they're charging at all when plugged in. I bought these because we live in Western North Carolina and when hurricane Helene hit us, it was really bad. It made me realize that having an emergency kit with power banks, flashlights and other emergency gear is an absolute must. As far as the brightness goes, they seem pretty bright, but I haven't tested them in the dark. The value remains to be seen. They were very affordable, but that usually means the quality is bad. As far as size goes, these are pretty small. I was expecting something bigger. Overall, I'm not very impressed. If the quality was better and they had a battery indicator, I'd be happier with them.
