Worth it
I didn't think this thing was gonna work, but it works insanely good. It's loud as hell but I suppose it would be when it's grinding anything hard. I got this to use for wheat and it certainly turns it into flour in a matter of seconds. Considering the $400-$500 price tag on other mills, this is definitely worth the price.

Follow time limit recommended to use every cycle
Excellent product, noisy but justified for the heavy duty grinding of spice

I haven't used this yet but for the price it's awesome.

Solid
It's essentially a giant coffee grinder that does exactly what I bought it to do - namely, grind wheat berries into a small batch of flour, the perfect amount for a single serving of pasta or small loaf a bread. The device is solid and well made, as far as I can tell. I can only give it 4 stars though for three reasons:First, it does heat up a bit. Not the biggest deal for me, but if avoiding "pre-cooking" ingredients is vitally important to you, you might be better off with a more expensive grander designed to stay cool.Second, it takes much longer to adequately grind things than stated in the instructions/product description. Which is what causes the extra heat. Again, not a big deal, just annoying. Just be honest about these things. It's still significantly faster than the regular coffee grinder I bought it to replace, and grinds much finer, so... just be honest!Three, the biggest issue as stated in many other reviews: no safety latch. I have twice now showed my kitchen in flour because I forgot you can run this device without the lid on. It is entirely possible to take your fingers off in a distracted moment, and I really don't see why it's so difficult to just add a safety latch to the lid. Warning buyers to unplug the device before removing the lid may prevent you, legally, from being sued if someone loses a finger, but if you actually cared about your customer's safety... just add a security latch!Overall though, a solid grinder that does what it's supposed to do.

Works really well - but kind of scary to be honest.
The instructions are garbage. I was working blindly trying to figure out what the one sheet of instructions meant and what buttons on the thing actually did. It was as if I had discovered some kind of alien artifact and was trying to determine its function. The description of the voltage/wattage labeling on the box threw us for a loop. By our calculations, it shouldn't have been able to work on any of our indoor residential outlets, but we had a few in the garage that probably could work - but that seemed wild that this little machine would use so much more power than our washer/dryer. After some internet research, we determined this was likely an overcautious labeling that indicates the max power surge and not a sustained power usage. It would have been nice if this was more clearly indicated on the instructions somewhere, but it was not.We found an outlet that could handle a bigger power draw just in case and put it to the test - but first I had to figure out how to turn it on. From what I could understand of the instructions it said to run it for a max of 2 minutes, so I set a timer. Turns out the little red knob on the side of the machine which I think is the only way to turn it on, is a 5 minute timer. You can turn it all the way to 5 if you twist really hard, but it easily only goes to about 1.5. I didn't realize this was a timer until my second attempt at grinding when it shut off on its own before I unplugged it. The instructions say to unplug it before you open the canister, so that's how I assumed it turned off, now I know the timer shuts it off. I still don't know what the little red button does on the front. Is it a power button? I have no idea.I did see some arcing through a hole in the base of the machine for a second, but I didn't see it again and I couldn't replicate it, so I'm not sure what that was about. There's voltage stickers covering hoes, but no indication in the instructions of if you're supposed to remove them or what that is for. It just looks dangerous, so I'm leaving it alone. In the end, it worked faster and gave me a finer grind than I get in my Vitamix. I could do an entire bag of oats in half the time it took using the blender method and I didn't have to do as much sifting and reblending, so it worked very well in that respect. It's just a little scary to use and could use an update to the instructions and safety details.
