Barbie PRINCESS of IRELAND Dolls of the World COLLECTOR Edition (2001)

Beautiful and high quality. My 6 yr old loves her.

My husband had gifted me with this doll when she first came out. I was overjoyed that he thought of this because it wasn’t something I had asked for. Several years later, our basement flooded and she was damaged and had to be thrown out. In the past couple of years, I have become a collector and greatly missed this doll in my new collection. When I found a “damaged” box at a great price, I took a chance. Her box was completely useless and her face was quite dusty, but she is in wonderful condition. This doll has the most beautiful face. Her light green eyes simply glow, and the slight side-eye look gives a kindness to her expression. The dark red lips are a perfect touch. Strangely, I don’t remember my first doll looking quite like this one. Looking at pictures, I think it is just a variation of the face stamping. Mine has no flaws, but it definitely looks a little different … and I’m not complaining. For anyone who is curious, she has the older style body with the clicky-bendy knees. Her clothing is completely removable. She is a great addition to any collection, but is also lovely for a gentle child to play with.

I never knew about the Irish Barbie until i saw it on Amazon. When I saw it i HAD to get it!! Being of Irish heritage I enjoy having irish things around my house and this doll will have a special place there. The face is so pretty and that super red hair just gorgeous. I am so happy I found it here on Amazon!!

We are so happy with how beautiful she is.

Arrived in kind of bad shape, like it had had rough handling. A collector's item doll shouldn't arrive in a fragile box. This was EXPENSIVE. Her hair was a MESS, and the braid was partially undone. Crown crooked, cape crooked. I got it straightened out but it was disappointing.

This is a beautiful doll. I had been looking at her for a long time but she was not affordable. Then I found her in a search when I wasn't even looking anymore, and at a reasonable price. So I ordered right away. Lucky me. She has beautiful auburn hair with a coronet. Green Velveteen Robe with shoulder closure and lighter green gown with lovely patterned piece in the middle. You won't be disappointed in her. I will save her for next St. Patrick's day and look for a companion piece so each of my granddaughters will have a bit of the old country. And I'll be looking for books on Amazon's second hand offers about Irish folklore. If you haven't tried that program, look at it. It is so very affordable.

The description said 'slight wear to the box'. When it was delivered, the box was in horrid condition. The doll was decent but the box was a complete eye sore even having tape in some places to keep the front plastic on. Very disappointed wont shop w this seller again.

This Princess of Ireland doll looks incredible in her olive green gown that has detailing inspired by the artwork of the Celtic people. She wears a forest-green cape with a golden brooch reminiscent of the legendary Tara Brooch of the ancient Celts. Her crown does come off, but it's tied to her hair, so you have to be really careful if you cut it off. I noticed that the ends of her hair are a little tangled. Also, she comes with flat shoes, yet her feet are clearly made for high-heels, so they don't stay on very well. I'm Irish and have written several books on Ireland, and this doll reflects Ireland wonderfully. On the whole though, she is a very impressive doll and a true collectors item.

The doll is beautiful and it arrived very quickly. However, it is very disappointing that the display box is crushed and damaged and, despite the doll being sold as new, it looks second hand. The outer packaging is fine, so it hasn’t been damaged in transit. Such a letdown

This is such a beautiful doll that I've looked at obsessively here on Amazon for some years, so I finally went and bought it as a birthday treat to myself this year and I'm so pleased I did. I absolutely adore this Irish Princess; she looks just as lovely and unique in real life as she is shown to be in the photographs; a real difference, like all of the Dolls of the World respectively, to the typical Barbie. She's got long, luxurious dark red hair; one of my favourite hair colours because it's so striking and I don't personally see what's so unattractive about red hair either. She's also got green eyes and dark red lips and a perfectly pale pink complexion, and her emerald green cloak appears to be made from real velvet from it's smooth texture, which is well nice. The Celtic pattern that runs down to the hem of her shiny green dress is just gorgeous, with gold and purple accents. She comes wearing a simple golden crown on her head and a cute little Tara brooch on the neckline of her cloak, and a pair of green sandals. Her cloak and dress are removable but her overall image is so majestic that it's a simple treat to marvel at it and she is meant to be a collectible as it is, not a toy. She comes with a certificate of authenticity and a display stand and stands completely upright on it, and the box that she comes in is well worth keeping as well for the information about her and her culture on the back. True, she is a pretty pricey purchase, however, I thoroughly recommend her to any Barbie collectors out there since this truly is one bonny Irish lass!

Die barbie kommt in einem sehr schönen umkarton. Wenn man, wie ich, die barbie in eine vitrine stellen möchte, machen sich einige defizite bemerkbar... die barbie ist dermaßen am karton festgetackert, das die haare teilweise abgeschnitten werden mussten. Bzw. Wenn sie danach entwirrt werden, büschelweise „ausfallen“. Dafür gibt es einen punkt abzug.
