Hours of fun!
I wasn't sure about this for my dad who has dementia, but he instantly loved it (though regularly needs to be told the rules) and played with it at the exclusion of all the other things around him. It kept him busy *and* thinking, making it stand out from the other busy boards available. The possible puzzles are endless, and everything is contained so no tiny pieces to get lost in the bed or knocked to the floor. Fits well in his hands, and although I felt the sliding knobs were too loose, they made it very easy for him to grab and manipulate. Works great! The colors are great on the manipulatives, but the red and orange of the beads are very close, especially in dim lighting which he prefers. Overall, thrilled with the price for what he's getting out of it. Wish there were more boards like this that tested different skills!

Great game
This game has my Father who has Alzheimer’s concentrate and try to problem solve. With my help he does really well. I think it helps with his concentration and he enjoys playing with it. The quality is great too. I even enjoy playing with it.

Defective, cannot play
So, the idea of the game is to get the pegs at the bottom in the same pattern as the balls at the top. there are 20 ball and 4 colors. The one we received had the following ball counts: 8 red, 4 blue, 4 green and 4 yellow. But the pegs at the bottom consisted of 8 yellows (not reds) and 4 of the other colors. I sent it to my mother in another state several months ago and only saw it when I visited recently. People with dementia are already struggling with cognitive things so it almost seems cruel that they shipped a defective game.

Not so great for elderly/dementia
The product is a good size for handling, it's got bright colors and clear patterns to copy. It's perfect for a younger child, my Grandson enjoys it. However, I was specifically looking for activities for my elderly Mother with Dementia and was not 100% satisfied due to the difficulty in her seeing the colored balls for her to copy. I think if the board was slightly bigger you could make the balls slightly bigger and easier for someone older with dementia to recognize the patterns. Other than that it is a great gift for young kids.

Well made, fun, a good challege for seniors!
I wasn't sure when I ordered this color matching game if it would be appropriate for the senior organization I support. Later on I noticed a similar game for toddlers but with 1 less row and became worried it was too simple as many of the participants have intermediate cognitive skills. I didn't have a clue how to play the game, and it came with NO instructions! However, I was plesantly surprised when I picked it up. I like that it is wooden and well made. I was able to figure out how to play it. I am a senior but with no cognitive issues, and it still took me some time to play a game. I'm satisified it will work well in the senior program. We have quite a few men in the program and I think it will particularly appeal to them!! Great job!!!

Great eyesight is required! (Not easy to distinguish for my mother with dementia!
The colors of the balls are muted, meaning they are not bright/big enough for my Mother to see clearly.
