Great product! My family and I noticed benefits in two weeks of taking it. It is really an impressive vitamin. The greatest part is its half life. Meaning you don't just pee it out. It is 60 % used in body 20% is out through waste. That means you are actually using what you paid for. My sister-in- law is a Nurse Practitioner at the psychiatry office I too work at. She has been advising patients for years to start taking NAC daily. It has many different health benefits. One of the many is improved mental health. I started talking it due to Covid19. She informed me that it helps with lung health. She also told me that is safe to take with other prescription medications. My husband and I have noticed our lungs are clearer than before. We didn't even have lung issues. He feels it has improved his running because of the lung improvement. It is a small price to pay for all the health benefits. It smells a bit. I don't find the flavor an issue. It is easy to swallow. We take after dinner due to the possibility of stomach upset. If taken on an empty stomach. No stomach upset experienced. The bottle is a bit misleading. It is marked 1200 mg on the front. That is the beneficial dosage. When I received it the back indicates you must take 2 capsules to achieve the 1200 mg daily. I was under the impression it would be 1 1200 mg daily by the front of the bottle. Not a deal breaker by any means. Just letting you know what to expect.

Honestly, I'm not sure whether NAC is helping me or not. My general practitioner recommended it as a possible aid for my psoriasis, and I've read many positive comments about NAC online. So, I take it daily on the chance that it might be beneficial in some way. However, I haven't noticed any improvement in my psoriasis. Previously, I used NAC from the NOW brand. I had the 1000 mg tablets in a bottle of 120 tablets, which cost around $24 AUD and was shipped internationally. The tablets were quite large, nearly one inch long. The recommended dose was one tablet daily, providing 1000 mg of NAC. This supply lasted 120 days, totaling 120 grams of NAC. In comparison, with my current brand, I received 250 tablets (though labeled as capsules, they are actually tablets). The cost is currently around $63. Each tablet provides 600 mg of NAC, and the recommended dose is two tablets daily, totaling 1200 mg—20% more than the NOW brand. This supply should last 125 days, providing a total of 150 grams of NAC. One thing I have to mention: these tablets absolutely stink! Seriously, the smell is downright rotten. I didn't understand where the "peppermint" came into play until just now while writing this review. I took my NAC when I began writing, and I just had a small burp—the awful smell of the NAC emerged, but I could also taste a hint of peppermint. It was slight but unmistakably peppermint. I'm not sure if that's intentional, but there it is. Would I recommend this product? While the Horbaach NAC supplement offers a higher daily dosage and more total NAC, it comes at a much higher cost per gram and overall price when compared with the NOW brand that I previously used. The tablets are smaller, which might be more convenient, but you need to take two daily. In terms of the quality of the product, I am unable to say. The smell is terrible. I will look for another brand next time, probably just go back to the NOW brand.

This is the best NAC out there on the market. Yes it has bad smell but that sulfer smell is actually a good thing when it comes to NAC and speaks to the quality of this product. NAC is supposed to stink and if it doesn’t than you don’t have good stuff. I am certain this stuff saved me when I had pneumonia and I have friends who credit this for what kept them out of the hospital when they had Covid. I am not a doctor, I’m just a person who has had chronic lung issues for years and can speak to my own personal experience with NAC and this product in particular. I’ve tried other brands of NAC and they aren’t nearly as good as this one. Make sure you research NAC before you start taking it though as it can interfere with other medications and supplements you may take. Make sure you take it on an empty stomach to get the full benefit. It also disrupts your body’s collagen production so if you plan to take this regularly you may want to look into taking a collagen supplement.
