Bog standard toy
Quite well made and smoothly finished, they do feel quite sturdy. The pull back and release mechanism on 3 of the 4 buses works very well. The fourth is a bit clunky. There are small plastic doors on each bus that can be manually opened and closed. These don't really serve any function as the bus is too small and cannot be played with on the inside. There is no mention of sound on the Amazon listing but all the buses have a battery compartment. I have not bothered to buy and fit the small round batteries needed as frankly I expect it would be a waste of time and money. They are pull back buses but of no great quality or particular interest.

Fun little set
As someone with children who enjoy vehicles, this toy set has been a delightful part of playtime. The four designs - a classic double-decker, a charming city bus, a quirky Olympic-themed version, and a recognisable school bus - provide plenty of opportunities for imaginative play. My three-year-old takes great joy in pulling them back and watching them zoom forward. The vehicles feel sturdy, with metal bodies and plastic detailing that's really only noticeable when examined up close. The openable doors could do with some refining, as they’re a bit fiddly for smaller hands. The build quality stands up well to energetic play, and appears to be commensurate with the price point the price point for a decent pull-back toy set. On the whole, they’ve proven to be both durable and visually appealing given their size.

Fantastic for collectors or for kids toys
This set of buses is actually not bad at all and would be totally suitable for collectors of buses who like to display their bus collection. This set will be played with by our 6yr old boy who loves his cars and vehicles and has a particular fondness for buses. The build quality is very good and I think the price is reasonable for this 4 pack. The buses aren't small either and a great size for display or for kids to simply play with. The buses are identical to the route master buses of London and the 2012 Olympic themed one is a must have for collectors in my opinion as well as the old titan bus, the American school bus and the popular single decker bus all feature here.Works out at just over a fiver for each bus which is pretty good value. They are friction powered so continue travelling for a little while after pushing along which adds to the fun for kids. Doors also open which again adds to realism and kids imagination but also great for display purposes. If you're a collector then sure go for it you won't be disappointed but if you're after toys for kids then they're totally suitable.Good quality and good detailing in each bus for such a good price.

Why do they have empty battery compartments?
A nice set of toy buses. They are die-cast, so have metal bodies. Not that it really makes a difference, you really can’t tell. Other parts of the vehicles are plastic. Each bus is different, and they all come in a full-colour box. A strange thing you will see in my photos is that each bus has a battery compartment underneath, and what appear to be speaker holes. However, on further checking the battery compartment has no terminals and there certainly isn’t anything inside the busses. Perhaps other versions have sound or something. So, ignore the battery compartments, they don’t do anything. Which does cause me to question, The price. Even at the current discounted price of £21.59, that’s still over £5 per bus. Which I consider towards the higher price range for a simple die-cast car.So yes, a great set, nice buses, well made. But a star off for overall value.
