I originally purchased this to add to our hurricane stash for our next storm. I still haven't gotten it back from my son at this point. This is a great little flashlight. It is really easy to wind and gives off quite a bit of light for its size. I love that it is both solar and hand crank especially for during the storm. We have consistently gotten a couple of hours of use time out of a full charge. This is a great option and I have since bought a couple more just to have on hand.

My dad likes to go outdoor hiking, and he loves reusable stuff. This flashlight was fascinating for him. He loves the ability to charge it with a hand crank or solar charging. It isn't the brightest flashlight, but it works well, feels sturdy, and it's much lighter than his other small flashlights. Would recommend this!

Great budget flashlight with no batteries required. Just crank or leave in the sun during the day and you’re all set. I like having one of these in our camping supplies as well as one around the house for power outages, never have to worry if you have batteries.Works well, not the brightest light, but it’s definitely a useful light. Very compact and comes with a clip so you can toss on your back pack.

I drained the battery to see if the hand crank actually works to charge the flashlight – As I recently tested another hand crank light in which the crank did next to nothing. The hand crank DOES work and also is ergonomic and cranks smoothly. also works as I tested this as well.The manual discourages draining the battery to dead but I did so anyways to make sure the crank works. To prove that it works, the light was struggling to stay on – after a single crank the light became brighter. With the light turned off, I cranked the generator for about a minute and the light stayed on for a while before losing brightness again.The tail has a carabiner style gate to clip on to gear, such as a backpack strap, belt loop, or cordage. The spring is pretty strong and the gate probably won’t open accidentally. I’m not sure how strong the plastic and hinge are physically, however, my impression is that it is adequate enough for its intended purpose. I’m fairly certain I could break it without much effort.This light is not very bright for modern flashlights but in complete darkness it is bright enough.I wish this flashlight had some magnetic attachment points.The power switch is not very stiff and could be accidentally activated.This flashlight weighs 3 oz.A full charge lasts for many hours – the manual says 2 hours, I think it is more.The reason why this flashlight maintains a 5-star rating is because someone looking for a tiny compact hand crank flashlight has very few options. The flashlight works well and the solar panel and hand generator works well – for what it is.Thanks for reading and hope this helps.
