Cast Cutter Saw

Purchased for a medical college. Worked well but only used it for two classes before it broke. No warrantee. Didn't last a year...

I purchased this cast cutter last year direct form the manufacturer in China. For $229.00. It does not take our regular cast blades. So be prepared to have to order cast saw blades from China. The metal is not stainless steel so it is now starting to show some type of oxidation. It is about as half as powerful as a Stryker or American Orthopedic cast cutter. I teach a casting workshop so we can take off as many as 100 casts a day. This saw is good for a back-up at a slow orthopedic office or maybe an orthotist who does a few custom molds in a day. Does not have an approved hospital plug so you cannot use it bedside.
