Worked perfectly where birds were landing and pooing. Have not had any poo since install. Be careful, the spikes are very sharp.

Extremely sharp be careful where you install them especially if kids or pets could reach them. But should keep pests and birds off. I wouldn’t want to land on these. Will work for what I am wanting them for

Seem to work fine keeping the squirrels away from the bird feeder located above a fence!But some of the birds don't seem deterred, most are, but not a few die-hards trying to get the seed that fall into these units.

I only gave this a 4 star due to the lack of affixing materials and the associated extra cost from the lack of such materials. I have a vinyl privacy fence and was not going to use screws and anchors so used Gorilla double sided tape instead. I bought this to discourage squirrels from entering our backyard garden, which they like to raid. They were using a utility pole to climb down and hop onto my fence. I strategically placed several of these spikes on the fence where they were using to enter our garden. So far good and these are super sharp. Assembling them was a little challenging even using leather work gloves. The fine points of the spikes will even go through the gloves so be very careful how you hold them. They remind me of the black palm trees in South America. They will penetrate your leather gloves so don’t touch the tips. I used a large thick styrofoam brick to place these upside down with the sharp end embedded into the foam. This made it easier to measure out, cut, and add the sticky double sided tape to the bottom. Using work gloves I simply placed to spike strips where I needed them and pressed downwards in the top center of the strip. My wife is worried that leaves will get stuck on the spikes during the fall time leaf drop but, I have a super stiff brush that's designed for cleaning the gutter covers that should do the job of knocking off the stuck leaves. Oh, they are super poky sharp. My neighbor, who was warned not to touch them at all, decided he couldn’t resist touching one and poked his finger which bled a little. He stated, “Holy cow, I barely touched it!”. So, they are super poky sharp and should perform well if the garden raiding Tree Rats decide to inadvertently impale themselves but, they haven’t tried to venture into my garden since I installed these spikes. I also used a couple of strips to fill a fence gap that rabbits were using to infiltrate my backyard. I haven’t seen Bugs Bunny since…

I tried several things to get rid of the barn swallows. I recently painted my back porch. Every year I have lived here (20 years) they come and nest. I do not hate the birds..just the mess they leave..the nest are made of poop and mud plus the massive amount of poop they leave behind. When their eggs hatch and there is 15-20 little baby birds flying around it gets to be a major pain to clean/keep up with plus the damage to my walls/paint. I tried fake snakes, owls, hawks..nothing worked until now. They cannot get around the spikes...period...I no longer have the issues. EXTREMELY HAPPY!!!!!! Just be careful installing the item..can get you with a poke or cut...still giving it 5 stars!!!

I purchased these bird spikes to deter racoons from getting on my roof and in my attic. My Son zip tied them to the top of all the down spouts. They work great! I have not had a problem since. Very satisfied.

Works, but it's an overkill for what it's intended for unless your home is a prison or gold reserve bank. Razor sharp. Guaranteed to cut yourself multiple times applying it!
