This is the best pet purchase, EVER!!
The media could not be loaded. I seriously LOVE THIS THING!! This is the best invention for pets. I searched high and low for a pet fountain and they all seemed to have their flaws. This is the best you could get, even if you were willing to spend more money, you wouldn’t get one as good as this. And it’s priced very fair. It’s very large. As you can see in my picture, there is a line showing the max fill line. I honestly disregard that. I’ve filled it up all the way. There is a little cut out in the back where you feed the power cord for the pump, and I fill the water up until it’s right below that cut out so it doesn’t spill out. I’ve owned this unit for months and I’ve always used it that way with no issue. I estimate that it holds almost an extra gallon filling it up to below that cutout.I have two French bulldog Boston terrier mixes and several cats. Before this fountain, I would fill two large water dishes full of water every day. It was a pain and would get disgusting. Never realized that my animals weren’t drinking enough until I got this fountain. Now they all love to drink water and none of them have ever made a mess out of it.When it first arrived, I would fill it all the way up and it would last exactly one week until it needed to be refilled. I would clean all of its parts and refill it during my weekly refill. But after two weeks, I think my animals decided that they really loved this thing and they all started drinking way more water. So then it went from lasting a week to only lasting 4 or 5 days before it needed a refill. All the cats regularly conjure together at this and take turns getting their fill. Moving water is much healthier for them all anyway so I love to see them enjoying it so much. Now that I’ve owned it for several months I’ve found the best way to use it that makes the most sense for me and my household. Instead of breaking all the parts down and thoroughly cleaning the whole thing every time it needs to be refilled which would be at least once or twice a week (bc I have so many animals), instead I fill it to the tippy top, and when it gets low halfway thru the week, I take a jug of water and pour it directly into the fountain to top it off. Then when it gets low again, I’ll top it off with fresh water again.I let it go about 2 weeks or so before I break it down completely, thoroughly wash every single part, and give it a new filter in the basin and a new sponge filter at the pump. I get way more life out of my filters this way instead of replacing every week I manage to get about 2-4 weeks out of them.To make the filters last the longest, once a week I pull the filter out of the basin, give it a good rinse and stick it back in when I top the fountain off. When I do this I also pull the filter out and wipe it off and rinse the sponge filter. All my animals love this fountain and so do i. It works amazingly and is very well constructed. I would love to see a stainless version of this big one like they did for the smaller cat fountain. This petlibro company has done a great job creating this fountain and it’s extremely consumer friendly. They sell the filters, and they even sell the replacement pump for less than $10 if something were to ever happen to yours. It’s great. Nowadays so many companies create their products where if one little thing goes wrong with a part of the item, the whole thing is trashed and can’t be used. So I love that they sell the replacement pumps. It’s also super quiet. It makes no noise at all. Idk what other ppl are talking about referencing sound this thing might make bc it doesn’t.. like at all lol.

Holds water
When there were 2 humans in the household, filling the dog water bowl once or twice a day wasn't a big deal, but when it was just me and the dogs, every time I'd turn around the water needed a refill. It was too much for me and I'd worry they'd run out if left the house or slept in. So I got this and it's been a serious help! I only have to refill it every few days. I generally rinse the pieces and rinse the filter 1x/week and then wash the pieces with dish soap and change the filter 1x/week. It's staying clean and doing it's thing. Really like it. Only a few suggestions for improvements: 1. The max water mark is impossible to see, I used a sharpie to make that more visible 2. It's not easy to lift and carry when full, and I'm a strong guy, it could use some carrying handles or at least some cut-outs for carrying 3. It would be a little easier to clean if the cord detached from the pump.

Excellent for pups
I have a GSD that loves to tip water bowls and throw her very dirty tennis balls in her water bowl. I also have a 2 year old who thinks all water bowls are toys. So far this water bowl not only clears/filters all dirt debris from dirty tennis balls and toddler fingers, it’s also too heavy for pups and toddlers to tip easily. It’s very easy to set up and get started. It’s very quiet (basically silent) so it doesn’t catch the attention of most kids right off the bat. My GSD quickly started drinking from this water bowl right after setup and has had zero issues getting water from the bowl. Overall I highly recommend this water filter bowl!

Best thing I have bought for my pets in 5 years!
This is wonderful! I have always used a self watering bowl but it still got dirty and had to be cleaned. With the way the water circulates it keeps the bowl clean and the filters keep the water clean. The product looks great, is great quality and still looks brand new even after months of use! The old water bowl was an eye soar in the kitchen but this is very nice and my dogs love the fresh cool water. I have 2 large dogs. I was afraid I would be having to refill it every other day but I refil it once about every 5 days. I would recommend this to anyone with dogs or cats. The drinking bowl is also higher off the ground and I hear that is better for our pets. THANK YOU!

Game Changing - Must Buy!
Before this, I had a regular water bowl for my dogs that constantly needed to be changed as it was collecting debris. I saw this and bought it as I didn't want to deal with the hassle of changing the water bowl daily. At first my dogs were pretty hesitant to use it but after a couple days, they all love it. I like how no nonsense and easy it is to install and use. I also like the fact that it is providing clean and constant water for all my dogs. I'm contemplating on getting a second one to leave outside.

Great filter for keeping clean water available for Pups!
I got the PETLIBRO Dog Water Fountain after seeing too much hair and trash floating in dog's bowls. I liked the constantly moving water and the idea of filtering it.One thing to understand is the filtering is PASSIVE - it happens as the water drains through the bottom of the white upper bowl and flows into the basin. That filter is partitioned and contains carbon and zeolite which removes impurities and ammonia as the water drains through it. The teal-colored area around the white upper bowl is a catch-pan that drains into the basin bypassing the filter. Hence there is still a way that trash/hair/bits of food get into the basin actually. The pump has a foam filter at the intake to stop particles/solids from entering the flow up to the white upper bowl but it does not purify the water with active filtering. You cannot take the cleanliness of the water for granted, I 've found that hair and trash will collect in the basin and promote growth of things in the water.....Take care to change the water and wash this bowl frequently!! I still like to have the moving water and some filtration, but it is not actively cleaning the water... Just so you know!
