The Rowan (Mountain Ash) tree is native to much of northern Europe and Siberia. A beautiful tree, with dark green leaves, which turn yellow or red in autumn. White flowers are borne in clusters in May, followed in August by orange / red berries in profusion, which are much favoured by birds.
