Installation is fairly simple, though a bit tricky. Comes with a packet of lube that's supposed to help slide it on. Not sure if you actually do need it, but it seemed to help. Decent grip, better than nothing for sure. If I ever need to remove it, there won't be any adhesive residue left behind which is good. After putting on my unpainted wooden bat, it did leave some discoloration from the rubber, which is probably normal and not an issue for me. Also, after putting it on, it did still seem loose at the edges slightly, but not enough to worry about. It probably better than using tape, which is time consuming and tedious. So glad this option was available.

Just wish it was an inch or two longer

This is not meant for newer bats, but for old ones with really large handles. The rubber is cheap, but it only cost $6. Save your money and buy regular bat tape.

Got it for my 10 year old daughter for softball, she said it does help with the pain but not 100 percent.Easy to put on and hasn't ripped yet so that's a good sign.

My son attempted to use this on his wooden bat. For whatever reason, he said it was tight on one end but pretty loose at the other. I read the other reviews and I'm not sure what he did wrong. 3 stars for potential user error... He's. 15.

Great product for what it is. What I mean by that is I wouldn't consider this as equal to a quality bat grip/wrap tape job. Once applied, this product feels somewhat like a sleeve as it flexes somewhat on itself especially if the bat handle is thinner than normal. It does the job of providing grip and absorbing shock, but a well wrapped bat just feels more solid in the hand regardless of handle thickness. Having said that, not everyone is comfortable applying grip wrap tape, so this product does provide an application shortcut with minimal drawbacks. I'd rather see every kid in my dugout using a grip sleeve rather than swinging a bat with a two or three-year-old, dry rotted and gripless original tape because mom or dad lack the confidence to re-wrap the grip properly.

This was very easy to install on my favorite old bat ! Provides extra grip and more precise hit placement on the ball ! I could tell the difference !

Although this is a great idea, and it does feel good as a grip, it did not work for the intended use - a girls softball bat with a thin handle. Fortunately there was enough lube and another bat available with a thicker handle I was able to use it. For me the grip is comfortable and the installation wasn't too bad, just not as easy as they made it look. It would be a good idea to make a smaller diameter size and specify what diameters they are designed to fit.
