I admit this product would have taken a lot of work to produce but the standard of workmanship left much to be desired and, therefore, I feel the lightshade is over priced. There were no instructions included but, fortunately my husband , although not a qualified electrician, knew what he was doing and managed to install it. With tweaks to the metal work and ignoring some of the other small imperfections it looks o.k. once fitted. it gives off a very soft mellow light which is o.k. for the landing but would not be bright enough for a hallway
