This 6ft cast net works very well. It comes with a plastic carrying box. The cast net got tangled a few times, but not easily. It also holds a lot of weight of fish and it is wide. I am 12 years old, and after a little bit of practice it was very fun and easy to use. I have caught a bunch of fish using this castnet, and I would recommend it.

I live in Florida and do a lot of saltwater fishing and use cast nets a lot. I picked up this 6' one and it does a good job. The top eye keeps the lead lines even and free from tangles and it casts well. I love the idea of the coated weights, but time will tell if they hold up under the abuse of oysters, muck, and sand. So far so good. I'll will post an update if anything changes. For the cost this is a decent value.

I have been using a cast net for many years; I just got this for my grandson to learn with and didn't want to get an expensive net for his first use. I was very surprised at the quality of this net - very supple mono, nice horn, and a six panel net, which is good for the size. The only concern was the coated weights, as it will be used in salt and brackish water, but so far the coating has held up with no signs of rust from the non-lead weights. It opens well for him (OK, with a little practice) and closes fully. Hard to find a better functioning net in this price range.
