Brush soft, but still gets the vinyl grooves clean.
The brush makes the cleaning process easier. If you struggle with static electricity, using the brush instead of the solution applicator all the time, it will reduce the static build up.

Helps control static
This brush is one step of my static control measures that I use. Static causes dust to stay on the record and causes the pops often heard when playing. Since implementing my static control procedures I rarely here any pops on my records. The brush works better than other brushes I have purchased and I have not had any problems with loose hair strands as others have reported. I highly recommend!

Be very gentle with this brush.
The glue keeping the hair within the wooden handle is not strong. If you are even moderately rough cleaning out this brush after numerous washings, the entire area of goat hair will fall out of the holes. I found this out the hard way.
