Prep and Serve Multi-Function Bowl with Integrated Colander (Large, Dark Brown)

This strainer is great for convenience but I bought it specifically for cleaning and straining rice and the holes are big enough for rice to get stuck in them. Still does the job but it's difficult to clean because you have to remove each grain of rice manually from the holes. Wouldn't suggest for rice but other than that it's a good design.

I was thinking it would be larger than it turned out to be. It seems sturdy but I suppose time will tell if that's actually the case. I ordered this and a larger version of it. The "large" also, was much smaller than I expected.To test it out I boiled some spaghetti in a large pot. When done I set this bowl in the sink and poured the spaghetti and water into it.This was an operation that straightaway revealed one flaw. The bowl is not wide at the top and thus if care is not taken, you're going to end up with some spaghetti in the bowl and some in your sink.In addition, because the hot boiling water from the pot does not drain away as in a traditional colander, it stays in the bowl until you tilt the bowl forward. Thus if you're not careful, you could end up with burns from the hot water.So while the concept is good, I think ultimately it's just too small to be useful in most cases. I also found that it's not as functional as a traditional colander for washing leafy veggies.The one thing it's good for is to soak and wash stuff like rice, beans etc.

Originally bought this bowl to wash my rice in but the holes are just slightly too big so rice can fall out while washing, which is why I marked it down a star. Still a great bowl and I use it constantly for serving food (even as a greedy cereal bowl, just make sure you don't fill it up too much or tip it the wrong way).

I was looking for something to wash rice and this is perfect for that. My only issue is that some rice gets stuck in the holes but I use a knife to remove that and it easily comes out. I have other uses for it as well and works just fine.

I purchased the large, brown bowl. It worked perfectly for me to drain a pound of spaghetti.

Solid product, good for rinsing small amounts of fruits and veggies. I wish there were more colors, but it doesn’t really matter. It gets the job done!

I have used it once, it took 1 time to figure which hand went where but Im a . little clumsy in the kitchen, I love the sweet pink color that is what caught my eye
