Cute little wooden basket holds all the pieces. The wooden food is held together with little velcro pieces so it has a "cutting" sound when you put the wooden knife thru it. The insides of the food are also painted so the pieces look real. Well made. The velcro seems stuck on well. I put the pieces together and pulled them apart several times and gave them to my granddaughter to play with and the velcro is still fully stuck. The wood is smooth and sealed and painted in bright colors.Wonderful addition to any childs little kitchen.

The small magnets can be a bit better, but other than that my toddler loves playing imaginary games with this product. It came super fast and individually wrapped—making the unpacking process super fun and stimulating.

This set is pretty cool! It has provided hours of fun for my kids. The colors are vibrant. The magnetism is strong, but easy to "cut" with the knife that comes with the set. It would make a great present!

I do really like this set and my immediate thought when I opened it was, "Oh how cute!" My son was excited to chop up his fruit while mommy was making his snack of real fruit. We have had numerous wooden fruit picnics on the kitchen floor.Safety: The pieces are big enough that I'm not worried about choking hazards with my 3.5 year old, and that's obviously concern #1. The paint is generally staying put and I've only seen a small chip off the orange, and he throws the pieces all over, so that's a good sign. The magnets are plenty strong to keep the pieces together but won't pinch little fingers. I love there is no Velcro so I don't have various fabric items falling victim to his creative placement. The basket is well built, smooth, and holding together very well. I really, really like the lack of sharp corners, that's a HUGE plus in my book.Aesthetics: Most of the fruits are pretty good looking. There is a pink one that I wouldn't be able to identify on my own as a peach (looks more like a radish), and the apple is strangely oblong. Google translate says the Chinese characters carved into the red flowers on the sides of it mean "Wooden Balls." The basket is big enough to add other toy produce if wanted. The knife, while dull wood, is "fake sharp" enough to be more than functional without any danger.I gave it 5 stars because I'm generous, but I would have done more like 4.5 stars if I could. It's not perfect, but it's really good. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to give it as a gift.

Got this for my 2.5 year old who loves to do everything that I do! Since she’s been playing more with play dough she loves the idea of “cutting” food so with this, now when I am making dinner, she can make stuff too practicing cutting her different fruits and veggies, which she loves! I comes with a little wooden knife and a wooden little cutting board, and all the fruits and veggies have magnets on them to put them back together. This is such a cute set and at a really good price point! Very happy with it!
