I recommend considering this one. It rides above the boney protrusions of the femur bones. This holster-style belt works well, binding tightly enough to compress my golf ball-size hematoma; compliments of a student doctor and a discount surgery. My spare spleen for pooling blood. Thus, this belt is a life saver. The belt is of a special, sturdy plastic webbing with enough fabric woven into it to allow Velcro fastener use. I bought a Medium for my 36" hips and 32" waist. It fits perfect. It's a set and forget belt. Currently, Amazon says it is returnable. The webbing ventilates. It has no discernable stretch or give. The webbing reminds me of sturdy lawn chair straps. It has one waist adjustment closure. They did a nice job. The bottom two straps are integral to applying critical, 3-direction tension to pressure a compression pad into the crook of the leg-groin. Those adjustable straps fit jock-strap style and are comfortable. Personally, I could wear this thing 24/7, and I shall buy extras to accommodate laundering. Kind of pricey, but it is but worth it. It works for me. I wear it over undergarments. My package included a second pair of Velcro'd pads labeled as "Gift". Overall, I say that this one is a perfect match for the purpose intended. I would say that one is best advised to avoid any hint of stretchy elastic belts, and to avoid the nonadjustable, g-string style when deciding to make a purchase. This truss seems sturdy enough for a duty belt for inside of the pants appendix carry of a medium frame affectation. That all goes for times when a flimsy outer garment can't support dangling iron (as with hospital scrubs). Issues in use arise from it complicating quick access to garmented plumbing (best to rehearse), and it can move downward on the body if loose, as for instance when the underlaying rump tissue deflates with exercise. For me, sitting does not budge it. Otherwise it stays put all day.

This one is the best one I have found, is it perfect? No, but the key thing is to learn how to wear it and wear exactly to place the pads for your needs, I cut the 2 straps that go around your legs and shortened them because they were too long for me, throughout the work day it does slide down a bit but thats probably due to my flat backside, it is durable, it does help me, though its not a cure but I'm hoping it prevents my hernia from getting worse.

Excellent fit ,comfortable easy to use,The design is great and the Velcro is tough this will last.. and it keeps everything where its supposed to be I'm having less pain till my surgery.

It does fit under clothing and isn't bulky (unless you add the extra pads that come with it). However, it is a bit scratchy if worn under clothing over underwear. It also BARELY fits according to their measurements. The band that goes around the hips fit with only about 1 inch of material overlapped when closed, and it felt tight. This garment of course is designed to fit snugly but too tight it can cause pain. If you want to be able to wear it over clothing the size chart is not helpful or you might want to go up a size (or two?) Be forewarned that they don't allow returns if it doesn't fit or for any reason even if you didn't try it on. Would try the next size up but am worried the straps that wrap under the pelvis might be too long, so am gonna go with a company that allows returns!

Genuinely incredibly helpful. I was pleasantly surprised with the durability and quality of the velcro, as well as how unobtrusive it is. I will sometimes forget I am wearing it and it has helped with my pain a ton. Glad I found this.
