Just received two days ago, so only time will tell how long it will last. Purchased for an 8X8 ft. storage shed. I searched many products looking for one that was just a simple on and off. I didn't want all the motion detection, dusk to dawn, etc. features they all seem to have, including this one. But you can turn this one on and off with the remote, so I am able to use it as I wanted. Not enough light to work by, but certainly enough to navigate the shed without needing flashlights. That's all I really wanted. Two things I don't like is that when you turn it on, it goes through some kind of cycling, or "booting up" process, and the light doesn't come on until 3 or 4 seconds after you press the button. The other thing is that like so many products these days, it can only be controlled via the battery operated remote control. So if the remote fails, the light is useless. For that reason,I suggest doing as I did and tossing out the cheap batteries it comes with, and only using high quality batteries.

Every time I go to the patio in the backyard at night, I have to grope in the dark to find the light switch. Now with this solar sensor light, it is completely different. When you approach it, it will automatically sense and light up. It has 5 light-emitting surfaces and is very bright in the dark. It is also equipped with a remote control with many modes to choose from. It can be remotely controlled and is much more convenient. The installation is very simple and I can do it by myself. It uses solar energy and does not require electricity. It is energy-saving and environmentally friendly. My wife and I both like it very much.

The lights were easy enough to install. The screws are poor quality and that should have been a warning about the lights. I bought a set of two as I have two sheds that need lights. The instructions were followed and the units were allowed to fully charge for a day before turning them on. Neither light was very bright...you can stare at them without concern and see the individual LEDs. While they "work" the one was so dim that it made almost no difference to the ambient lighting in the shed. They're going back. I do wish that the quality of these sorts of lights improves. Its a good idea, but a poor implementation.
