Great sprinkler
This is our second tractor sprinkler because we loved the first one so much and used it for years. Works great, easy to use.

Works as expected
I run this with a 100' hose, to cover a 40' wide section of our yard with some newly planted trees. Worked very well. May even get a 150' hose to use in more areas next year. Glad I bought it (never run one of these before, but I remember seeing them when I was a kid and thought they were a cool idea).

PERFECT YARD WATERER!
I grabbed this watering tractor after a couple of Orbit oscillating sprinklers failed with a week. This tractor is built for the long haul! Gives excellent coverage as well. I actually used an old hose and staked the ends down to make my guide for the front wheel to follow. Turn it on and forget about it for 3 hours as it slowly creeps across my backyard watering it flawlessly. I highly recommend this tractor.

Heavy, not for narrow areas
I suspect this would have worked well, but I couldn’t see myself messing with this due to the weight. Also, from what the instructions said, the throw (aka spread of the water) is quite wide, even when adjusted, so this wouldn’t have worked well in some of the more narrow trouble spots I had in mind, such as along a fence. This is probably great for a man and a huge yard.

solid sprinkler
This thing is HEAVY ohh man. I like it and it works well. I have decent water pressure and I keep it on high and it moves through the back yard reasonably well. Tilting where the water comes out allows you to adjust how far it sprays the water but it gets a good amount of water on the ground. I find that it doesn't do corners very well and if you do need to turn it should be wide.

Very Pleased!! Works great & does what it's designed to do.
I purchased this traveling sprinkler recently, (in June 2023) while we were experiencing a drought in and around Mchenry, IL., and it works fantastically well.!! The Nelson Rain-Train Traveling Sprinkler does just what it's designed and advertised to do, and it's also very stable due it's weight. Although the wheels are made of plastic, the body of the Sprinkler is made of cast-iron, and it weighs around 18 lbs. I recommend this sprinkler to anyone who has a large yard without in-ground sprinklers, and/or to anyone who isn't interested in moving their sprinkler around their property. Just set it up, turn it on and it will do the job, and then it even turns-off on its own once the job is done.

Thanks Amazon Customer Service
I was excited when I found this tractor sprinkler, more excited it is cast iron. (I have two mouthy dogs that play with everything that involves water.). When received there was a missing part. I was so bummed out. Followed the manufacturer instructions to contact them for issues/parts. After a week with no response I left a message via Amazon. Within a day an Amazon rep got a hold of me, after providing the requested info Amazon sent me the missing piece. This is the first time I have ever had an issue and very pleased with Amazon!!!!As for the tractor. Like I mention, this is made of cast iron and has a solid weight to. My large dogs have not tipped it over nor tried to carry it away. Covers amazing amount of distance when watering. Has three ‘speeds’ - stationary, low, med. There are User lessons learn and influences like understanding the contour of your yard (i.e. slopes, holes, grass heights) that will determine and impact the sprinkler performance. Once you know your yard for laying the hose/track will increase the success of this sprinkler working for you.
