Great product!
So there I am, buying the best guitar of my life after 50 years of playing. It's a Martin D-18E Retro, a beautiful instrument. Guess what? I go and buy the only darn guitar in the shop that doesn't have a strap stud at the body end of the neck. Am I going to tie a tacky-looking bootlace to the headstock of my nearly $3,000 new Martin? NO!I searched around for an alternative to the bootlace. My search led me to this StrapSnake Strap Button Holder. Quality demands quality, and I felt I might have found it. What a good decision. This is a quality product. The fact that it's leather, and the star embossed on the button, is sooo cllassy. I feel it really complements my beautiful new guitar. If you think this product is a lot to pay for a little thing like this - don't! It is well worth it and great value for the money!Highly recommended.

I like the star buckle though
Leather quality wasn't as expected, must be a bonded leather/ leather byproduct. otherwise it's soft and serves the purpose well. I like the star buckle though. It does give a good look to my all black guitar (black strap obv.). Not a bad pick for the price.

Goes The Distance
The guitar strap button holder functions as promised. Not only that, but it looks good too. I put one on my Takamine pro model cutaway, and also on my Orpheus Valley Sofia classical. I'm just as satisfied on both models. It appears strong enough to go the distance.

very useful tool
Nice leather nifty tool for those old school designed acoustics that aren't made with the metal nut for a strap behind the neck. Should be able to choose if you want the metal button that snaps the leather band together to be in brass/gold or pewter/silver. As I ordered this and was informed I didn't have a choice in the color of the metal button

Afraid My Guitar Will Fall Due to Loose Rivet . . .
This is a great idea that goes wrong with an large oversized button that makes it virtually impossible to attach a guitar strap to it. Once I got my strap attached to the button it appears that the button itself is about to fall off of the rivet. I've been playing the guitar for 46 years and have used countless straps on my guitars, so I know how to carefully attach a strap. The main problem is that the button is too large, now with a button that looks like it is about to come apart from the rivet, if I use this, I risk dropping my vintage guitar on the floor. This is a risk I'm not willing to take. For the $8.95 price I paid for this, it really isn't worth returning it, too bad the button isn't fastened to the rivet better and too bad the button is so large. As I said, this is a great idea that just falls short of achieving its goal, at least with my strap.

Good quality with extra bonuses
I got this for my 7-year-old son, who has a kid's guitar that he loves and really wanted to have with a strap, but the guitar had no way of adding standard screw-on buttons. This strap button holder is very good quality, and the keychain fob that holds the guitar picks was a bonus that my son was thrilled with. He showed it to everybody he could. Be aware that the star button on the Strapsnapper strap is much larger than the standard kind of button that is attached to a guitar body, so you may need to cut a larger opening in the over-the-shoulder guitar strap in order to push the button through. We had to do that for my son's strap.

The Leather snapped in half, without warning
I really liked the concept of this, because I hated using shoestring to hold my guitar strap to the head stock. It's got a great look, and I love the metal button. However, the leather snapped during a song. Luckily, I was able to keep a grip on my guitar, and I had something to rig it to finish my set. I've had it since March of 2015.Be aware that I at least play weekly for about 3 hours at a time, and maybe it's just the result of regular wear. I never did any close inspections of the strap, but it still seemed to be in good shape before it broke. It didn't appear to be dry or brittle before it snapped. It basically snapped right where the head stock rests on the leather strap. I suspect that the problem is the leather is too thin.I'm not saying it's a bad product, but maybe it's not for someone who gigs a lot. I might try a different model next time.

Nice wall hangers for instruments with a broad tuning neck
Very secure hangers for my larger stringed instruments like banjo, guitar and mandolin. But they will turn and could possibly endanger your hanging instruments. If install correctly they work fairly well.
