Excellent product, great service response!

This is an excellent product that does the job flawlessly. It reads and records my oxygen levels, heartrate, and movement in one-second intervals, unlike other wearables that record less frequently or require another device to record the data. I put it on and it starts recording automatically.Downloading the data to the app over bluetooth is automatic, once the app is open and recording stops. The battery life is good, usually enough for at least two sleep sessions. There are only three issues that I have:> The cord that comes with this device is NOT a standard USB-C cord. The device will not charge or transfer data with a standard cord. I have to use the one that came with the device.> The app uses private storage on my phone to write files, which I then have to transfer to my PC, one at a time, using the share function in the app to store the file on my phone, then my phone to my laptop. (There is a way to sync with my PC directly, but this is only from the wearable to my PC using that cable and Wellue's proprietary software.)> This last one is really nitpicky, but there is no way to see the battery level in-app or on the device, except by a very small battery icon. No battery percentage is shown, so it is difficult to know whether there is enough charge for another sleep session.PS: The customer service department deserves a bit of praise for handling an issue I had with my unit where it stopped responding to the button on the device. All they required was proof of purchase and a video showing the problem, along with a photo of the serial number on the device and they shipped me a new one in two days! Amazing!

Good buy for the money and good company technical support and feedback.

I purchased a second Ring the Ring-2 back in November of 2024. It did a wonderful job right up to the point it showed an Error 4 on it's display. That was about 4 months after the purchase. I tried all the suggested fixes in the instructions and those suggested on the Web, but I had no success. So I reached out to Wellue via email and was asked for some information on the ring mostly done with pictures. Wellue got back with me and wanted to know where to send the replacement. I received the replacement a few days later and it's been getting my readings since. It's been about 2 months.I've share the reports from the available software with my pulmonologist to use for may care and I use them for my monitoring of my asthma. The display is easy to read and turn on when you want to take a peak at your status, or to see why it's alarming. The Ring-2 seem to hold up very well with my daily routines and projects. It tolerates the bit of water that I will get on my hands as I wash them. I've gotten use to having it on my thumb as I go about my life. I really like this Ring-2 and am considering a second since I cracked the screen on the older Ring.

I wish I had seen a review like this before buying this. - UPDATED

I bought this ring four months ago. It worked for the first few months, but as time went on the low oxygen warnings became more and more frequent. I have checked my sp02 with a regular oximeter and the difference was over ten points or more. The flexible part of the ring has become stretched out over time and the ring has became more and more loose on my finger. It is now to the point the ring is completely inaccurate especially while I am sleeping.Tech support for this company is only through email. And so I had to wait for a reply from them each step of our conversation. Their fix for the problem was to tell me this (I am cutting and pasting the text from the email)."Hello customer.Thank you for your information. This device has a fixed finger ring size.If the finger ring size is too large, you can try gluing the elastic section with a piece of string or tape."I have since replied to them and told them using string doesn't work, but they have ghosted me and no longer reply to my emails.Hopefully this experience helps others from making the same mistake about this product that I made. If I could give this product zero stars I would gladly do so, not overly for the product, but for the customer service.UPDATE: Customer Service reached out after review and apologized for misunderstanding and replaced the ring.

Not Trustworthy for Medical or Casual Use

I own several pulse oximeters. They all agree closely but this unit—the O2Ring—consistently reads 3% higher than the others. This isn’t minor drift. It means the device reports normal oxygen levels when you're actually hypoxic. For a product that costs 5x to 10x more than consumer-grade devices, I expected a modicum of accuracy, if not precision or at least consistency. What I got was a device that’s not fit for any clinical, personal, or even casual monitoring use. It's just an accessory dressed up in a fancy form factor.Support asked me to “prove it with photos,” rather than troubleshoot, offer firmware updates, or acknowledge the failure. I returned it for exchange. If the next one isn't better, it's going back too.UPDATE: The replacement is here, and the verdict is in. This device does not measure SpO2 accurately. It routinely reads up to 5% too high--for many people with chronic lung diseases, 5% is the difference between sleeping soundly and needing to go to the E.R. For most people the functional range is narrow, from 87 to 97. The error factor of the O2Ring covers half that range. Relying on this device will give you a false sense of security.I understand this isn't supposed to be a medical-grade oximeter, but a product that's priced like one should perform at least as well as $20 consumer-grade units.
