Quality pick up for price.
Knife is a big step up if all you are used to is hand me down’s and cheap knives. This is a heavy duty,SHARP knife. Great for cutting the thicker meats.

My new favorite knife
Great knife. Arrived very sharp and stays sharp. It is a little heavy, so it cuts right through with little effort. A plus is it comes with a thick leather sheath so you can take it with you safely for use in someone else's kitchen.

Good for sharpness, weird for design
I like trying out different kinds of kitchen knives. We have cheap ones and fancy ones, high carbon ones and Damascus ones. So when I saw these being so different, I had to give them a try! They aren't your typical kitchen tools.Pros+ Steel. The steel is tough. It takes a bit to sharpen, but it does keep its edge. It does corrode easier than most stainless steels so you have to take care to protect when stored.+ Durable. The full tang means I can put a lot of pressure into these knives. The handles are sturdy and haven't scratched or knicked. If well-cared-for, these knives should last for a long time.+ Accessories. The leather case is a great way to kee these looking pristine. They don't get dinged up or magnetized. The scissors is an excellent addition! And rod makes it easy to make the edge last.Cons+ Design. This is the only complaint I have (and some might say this is the whole point of kitchen knives). The blades are too thick in general. They are strudy, but the wide blade makes slicing through tougher veggies a bit of a challenge. Sweet potatoes were not nearly as easy as my Zwiling Gyuto. Not having a full bolster is my preference, but the finger hole makes almost no sense. It does allow for a lot of control over the blade, but I found that my finger got in the way more often than not. Pinching the blade still worked the best.
