I really like the steam function.... It's just cool water vapor and isn't hot where it would burn anyone. The moisture really helps get the loose fur out of my cat's coat and keeps it from being all over the house. So easy to use and works well.

While the cat steam brush works well, I found the instructions to be confusing and lacking some key details. It wasn’t clear where to put the water, and getting the plug off the small tank was a bit of a challenge. Once I figured it out and managed to fill the tank, the charging process was fairly quick, and I was ready to give it a try.My cat is small, about 8 pounds, with short fur. She’s been shedding a lot lately, which is why I decided to take a chance on this product. I’m happy to report that the brush performed well, removing a significant amount of loose hair. I found that brushing against the grain helped capture more fur, and luckily, my cat doesn’t mind that.The steam created just enough moisture to collect the loose fur, leaving her coat soft and shiny. She didn’t seem bothered by the mist, and since she stayed put during the whole session, it clearly wasn’t too much for her. The dampness didn’t make her feel wet enough to run off, which was a relief.Overall, the brush collected a decent amount of fur, helping me keep it off my desk and furniture. I almost didn't get this because the description says steam and many reviews mentioned hissing. I wasn't sure I wanted anything misting my cat with steam and anything with sounds freak them out. I am glad I decided to get it. It is not a steam brush, it is a misting brush and I love it. There is no audible sound and the cat didn't react like there was sound. The first time I used it on my cat who sheds horribly, it not only kept the hair from flying away but I noticed there were fleas trapped in the hair. So I added a drop of rosemary essential oil and after three brushings his hair is softer, there are no fleas or flea dirt, and his hot spot on his back is gone.

It is a great concept but my dog will not sit still and let me use this with the mist feature, so for us, it is basically just a brush. Not a bad brush, but I am not able to use it in the intended fashion. If you pet lets you use the brush with the mist, you might find that it works great.

This dog brush with vapor is a lifesaver! The vapor softens my dog’s fur, making tangles easier to manage and shedding much less of a hassle. Highly recommend for any pet owner!

So, was a bit shy about getting another cat "steam" brush (really an ultrasonic mister) because the last one I got leaked out the bottom when I left it on a counter overnight. I narrowly missed destroying some important papers. This unit has that covered, literally, by having bottom dish/cover that can catch any leaks.It has two swapable brushes, but the design for swapping them out is poor. You are supposed to pull the brush out by grabbing the bristles and pulling it off the unit, which is hard to do. The thin bristles are pretty stiff. I expected the thick bristles to be softer, and they are, but I was expecting more like a soft silicone brush, and they aren't that.Overall, this is an improvement in some important ways over the other brush, but the bristles are stiffer - I like the other brush's bristles better.
