Review: Simply a great mechanical watch that won’t break your wallet. - For the price and how this thing tells you (other than the time) the day, month, day of the month, and even the day/night cycle...it’s simply just a GREAT mechanical watch. Of course, it’s good to note that the month portion isn’t particularly automatic and needs to be changed manually (which really isn’t a problem since you only gotta do it once a month). And although the day of the month portion is automatic, it’s set to a general 1st to 31st cycle, and since not every month has 31 days--similar with the day of the month portion--at the beginning of some months, this too will need to be manually altered. And although this is common knowledge, it's important to set it up when it's NOT between 9:00pm and 3:00am (that’s the general time frame that certain special gears may be moving). Review: Decent movement, straps are inconsistent - Decent movement, not sure if I’d pay full price tho. Main gripes are the date window goes up to 39 which makes it a little annoying to change at the end of the month. Second, the strap on the brown/gold version feels a little cheap/plastically - I ended up buying a smooth leather butterfly clasp strap for like $20, well worth it. The black/silver version however, strap is MUCH nicer feeling and has a butterfly clasp included. Other than that, it is a little chunky, but not in a bad way considering the complications and the price. Can’t speak to it’s longevity but so far no issues with the movement.
