HydroOrganics Earth Juice Natural Down, 1.6 lb

Picked up a bottle of this due to the fact that with 7.9 tap water, I was burning through GH/PH Down like crazy and the price point was great for the quantity.First time using it I dissolved a 1/2 tsp of granules in 1 cup of hot water and added that to 4 gal of ph 7.9 tap water. ( I had read that a little goes a long way)The ph dropped to 4.5 and stayed there. Used a little GH up to get it up above ph 5.5That being the first try, second 4 gal jug got the same process, only used a bit less than 1/2 tsp and it set the tap water at ph 5.68Let both jugs stand for a few hrs and checked again. PH was exactly the same.This stuff is freaking GREAT and is going to last SO much longer than liquids.I will be using this from now on....and no....no one paid or gave me anything to post this.But I wouldn't complain if they did!!UPDATE: 1 MONTH LATERstill very happy with the product.have found that the ph of the runoff is creeping up and now at 6.4 and becoming difficult to get down, so i gave a flush with florakleen and its back down where i want it stable at about 5.5.have found that 2 gallons of tap water in a bucket at ph 7.9, brought down to ph 5.5 with this stuff, will stay stable for about 4 days before beginning to creep up.its just concentrated crystallized citric acid and available much cheaper at bulk barn or at wine making shops, so I'll buy that when this runs out.....in like 2 years LOL!it was a convenient buy at the time which was worth learning from.

It'll definitely last longer than any liquid ph down solution and works just as well. I'm really quite happy with the price and think this bottle will last quite a looong time :).

Works as it should: lowers water PH. Y Straight out of the tap, my water consistently reads ph8.4. I add less than 1/8tsp per gallon of water to get it down to ph6.5. You need very little, so start with small amounts.

Little bit goes a long way psych little granules crystals if you will but I did a half a gallon of water and just needed a little bit of like a little tiny pinch if that would that be a dash of salt

This stuff is great. Before using please understand a small amount is big and a big amount is overkill....u don't need much to lower ph with this stuff. I have had to restart many times because I added way too much of this. Great product

Been using this product for years now. It is easier to work with than those liquid chemical PH downs as it is in a powered granules form and you just sprinkle a little into your water/nutrient mixture it up and test your PH. The liquid ones it would always be so easy to do one too many drops and have the PH drop too low thus wasting the mixture. You shouldn't use too much PH down and add PH up to bring it back up to the correct PH.

Works super great! Potent! A dash (1/32 tsp) per gallon brings my filtered tap water down from 7.3 to 6.5.

I absolutely love this product! 1/8 tsp per gallon of tap water adjusts my ph from 7.5 to 5.8 range, easy & simple to use.

only need a little bit to bring pH down but after 10 minutes it goes right back up to where it started no matter how much you put in

Switched from liquid to HydroOrganics Earth Juice after my organic soil recommended this product. I will be now using Earth Juice for all my ph adjusting from now on.
